Chloe POV
I've notice that Beca's been avoiding me. I mean, it isn't hard to corner her but Fat Amy keeps getting in the way. She's so cute when she blushes and I can't seem to get enough of it. The party's this weekend and all the Bellas are going. It only took a little bribery before Aubrey gave in. I've tried to get Beca to a couple of bars but it hasn't work so far. She doesn't like to be alone with me. I've seen her on the street a couple of times and she immediately ducks her head and tries to blend in, not that it fazes me. She's cute when she keeps her head down because her beautiful hair flows over her shoulders. Today we were going to meet a group of boys on the greens that Stacie met last week. I wasn't really interested as I have yet to finish with Beca but it's fun to tease. It was a beautiful morning. The sun was out and it was only slightly cloudy. It had rained recently and the grass was a luscious green. I love days like today. As we were walking I saw Beca. She was sitting against a tree trunk in the shade, eyes closed with headphones on. Alone
"I've changed my mind. I'm going to hang out here." I tell Stacie, my eyes never leaving Beca.
"Chloe," Stacie groans, "I can't handle all of them by myself!" I look distractedly at her.
"Cancel then." I say simply and start to head in the direction of Beca.
"Fine, I'm coming with you." She says grumpily. I stop and turn around.
"No, you're not." I tell her. She raises an eyebrow.
"Why not?" She ask and looks over my shoulder. She smirks. I roll my eyes.
"This is the first time I've found her alone. Scoot." I say and make a shooing motion with my hands. She flips her hair dramatically but leaves. I strut over to Beca and lay down next to her, our arms touching. She flinches away and takes off her headphones. I feel bad immediately. Maybe Beca does have an aversion to being touched. She looks at me, surprised.
"C..Chloe?" She stutters, quickly turning down the volume of her music.
"Hey, Beca." I say with a flirty smile. "I was just thinking about what a wonderful day it was and saw you laying in the sun. I thought I would join you as long as that's okay with you?"
"Oh." She says, giving me a sideways glance. "Y-yeah of course." I smile geninely.
"What are you listening to?" I ask curiously and inch closer. She doesn't seem to notice.
"Titanium." She answers. I nod.
"I love that song." I say and inch a bit closer. "It's my jam. My lady jam." I say with a suggestive smile. She looks away, her cheeks turning a light tinge of pink. "Do you do this often?" I ask. She gives me a confused glance. "Lay about in the sun?" She just shrugs. I inch closer so we are side by side, legs not quite touching. "I love the sun." I say, leaning back on my hands and arching my back. Enjoying the sensation of heat on my skin. I let out a deep breath. I let my head loll back. I forgot how good the sun felt. I turn to look at Beca and find her gazing at my chest. I smirk and she quickly looks away, blushing deeply. I put my hand on her thigh. She freezes instantly.
"I'm sorry. I should've asked." I say before taking my hand away. "Wanna go get some coffee?" I ask. She abruptly stands up and picks up her stuff.
"It...it's fine but I..I've got homework." She says, her blush deepening.
"Maybe another time?" I ask with a smile. She nods and hurries away. I smile. That's the longest I've spent with Beca alone. Plus, I got her to agree to go with coffee with me, even if she was too flustered to realise it.
