I plop my suitcase on the bed, completely taken back on the wonderful view from mine and Louis' hotel room. Louis, Zayn, Perrie, Liam, Danielle, Niall, Josh (the drummer), Harry, and I all arrived to Paris this December 29th night. Since Eleanor didn't come, I've decided to room with Louis. The hotel room was quite large, two double beds dressed in white are pushed against the wall, picture's hang in every corner, a flat screen TV. is perched upon a dark dresser, and as you walk a little further in the room, there's a huge balcony with the perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. I run out to the balcony, and stand near the edge, gaping at all the lights. The snow falls lightly, making the scene even more perfect. I take the time to realize I'm in Paris! The city of lights and most importantly, the city of love...
"Doesn't it just take away your breath?" Louis asks, standing next to me, propping his elbows on the edge, and gazing at the view in front of us. I nod my head, staring at the eiffel tower in amazement. The sky was black and bright stars hung up above. I took a mental picture, savoring this moment. "When I first came to Paris I was blown away, the Lads and I just couldn't wait to get out into the city and explore." I looked at him and smiled,
"I bet." He stifles a yawn and stretched,
"Well I'm about ready for bed." He says, "You coming?" I nod. He starts strolling back inside the hotel room and I trail behind him. We both change and lay in our separate beds. As the lights dimmer down and I lay in peaceful silence, my mind soon wonders. Though I find it hard to fall asleep with the empty spot beside me, and knowing Louis was just a few feet away from me made me squirm, and roll around in frustration.
"Katie," Louis whines, "Why are you moving around so much?" He asks. I sit up and peer over to his bed, his face is facing in my direction, but his eyes are shut tightly. I could tell that he was tired, and I didn't want to bother him,
"Sorry, I just can't get comfortable." I state. "I think I'm going to take a little walk." I whisper. Louis mumbles a quiet 'okay'. I hop out of bed and change my pajama shorts into black leggings. I pull a tan sweater over my head and slipped on my boots before walking out into the hotel hall. I walked past the room doors that where occupied by members of One Direction and hopped in the elevator, pressing the number 1 button. I awaited in the slow descending elevator, going from the very top floor, to the very bottom. Once the elevator dinged, and the two metal doors opened, I jumped out quickly; I never liked being enclosed in a small space. I glanced at the lobbyist at the front desk, his hand was propped under his chin, his head tilted slightly, his eyes closed. I smiled, tiptoeing past the sleepy lobbyist, to the end of the hotel, and going out the back door, where I assumed employees went to smoke a cigarette. I opened the door quietly and stepped outside, sucking the cold air into my lungs.
"Jet lag?" I hear a husky voice say from behind me. I jump and press my hand to my chest,
"Harry!" I breath, "You scared the bloody hell out of me!" I whisper/shout. Harry chuckles, he's leaned up against the hotel building, and we are currently standing in some type of alley way. It's very secluded and you can hear the cars and buses, sounds of the city. "What are you doing out here anyways?" I ask.
"I couldn't sleep so I figured I'd get some fresh air." He pauses for a moment, "It always seems to calm me. If I can't sleep, or I need to calm my nerves before a big concert. I just go outside and take a deep breath, look at the sky, and think about how lucky I am too be living my dream." I smile at him and he smirks, "What about you?" He asks. I shrug my shoulders,
"Couldn't sleep either, and I didn't want to annoy Lou; he's really tired." Harry nods his head, and I hug myself tightly, trying to warm my shivering body,
"Here take my coat." Harry offers, taking off his coat revealing his black, v-neck, t-shirt.
        "No I'm fine,"
"Seriously, take it.. you're freezing," He states, pushing the warm fabric towards me,
"What about you? You're wearing a short sleeved shirt," I state,
"I'm fine." He argues, but I can see the goosebumps appear on his pale arms once his skin comes into contact with the wind.
"Put your coat back on Harry," I say between chattering teeth. He rolls his eyes before pulling back on his coat,
"So stubborn," He mutters. I furrow my eyebrows at him and he looks at me confused, "What?" He asks. I pick up some snow on the ground and fling it at him,
"I'm not stubborn, I'm generous." I scoffed. Harry widens his eyes,
"Oh really? I'm the generous one! I offered you my coat which you stubbornly declined, therefor, you are stubborn." He convinces. I laugh,
"I am not stubborn!" I shout. My voice echoes through the dark alley. Harry stands up straight,
"Katie Bay is so stubborn!" Harry yells, his voice bouncing off the two building that we stand between. I smile,
"That's so cool," I state in awe.
"It is." Harry agrees. We stay outside for a little while longer, just chatting and laughing. Harry's a great friend and really easy to talk too. We talked about the New Years Eve. party we were going to in two days. It was going to be held right outside the Eiffel Tower, and I couldn't wait. We also talked a little bit about his X-factor experience, and my college experiences. Soon we both started complaining about the cold and decided to head back inside. We got in the elevator and rose our way to the top floor. Harry's room was right next to Louis' and mine. He pecked my cheek before sliding in his card and opening his door,
"See you in the morning!" He shouts as I continue walking to my room. I open the door and tiptoe through the darkness. Louis lay still in his bed and I assume he's asleep. After changing again into my pajama's, I slip in bed and fall to sleep quickly, not knowing how tired I was.

I open my eyes the next morning to be greeted by the bright sunlight streaming through the large windows in the hotel room. My senses awaken when I smell eggs. I sit up in my bed and stretch my arms over my head.
"Morning!" Louis cheers. He's standing at the small table, rearranging something on a tray.
"Morning," I yawn, not completely awake yet.
"I ordered room service and got your favorite," he says, lifting the silver tray and bringing it to me. I look at the scrambled eggs and buttered toast,
"Oh, thanks Lou!" I say, my stomach rumbling as if on Que. He sits on the bed next to me,
"So today we're all going to tour around the city, go shopping for tomorrow!" Louis says enthusiastically. I take a large bit of my eggs before replying,
"Okay, sounds good to me," I state, picking up my toast and nibbling it, making sure not to come in contact with the crust.
"Then we have reservations for dinner at a very fancy, 'restàurant'," Louis says, making the 'restaurant' sound french.  I smile at the thought of more food,
"Can't wait." I said. The thought of spending all day with Louis also made me smile. I soon finish off my plate and set the tray on the bed side table, before laying back down on the bed.
"No you have to get up!" Louis says. I shake my head,
"Just a few more minutes," I groan, shutting my eyes. Louis suddenly gets on top of me and shakes the entire bed,
"Get up! Get up!" He yells.
"Alright!" I laugh, he stops shaking the bed and hops off of me. Louis offers me a hand and helps me out of bed. He pulls me into a surprise hug, "Thank you again Katie, for coming with me." He whispers. I squeeze him tighter,
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." I comment truthfully. I pull away and head over to my suitcase, pulling out my outfit for the day, ( outfit ). I took a quick shower and got dressed before Louis and I met everyone in the lobby. All nine of us headed out into the city; Louis had his arm draped around me casually. We walked around the streets and entered many shops and stores; though it was extremely difficult to go anywhere with One Direction. It seemed as if in every store, every street corner, held some sort of fan. Every time we turned a corner, another girl was squealing with delight. The boys took so many pictures I thought their smiles would stay frozen to their face; but I had to remind myself, they were used to this, and right when they joined X-factor they knew that any type of privacy they once had, would be completely gone.
The day went on and I was happy to say that I found a wonderful dress for the New Years Eve party tomorrow, with plenty of help from Danielle and Perrie of coarse. Louis and I trudge through our room and I throw my shopping bags on the ground. I flopped on the bed in a huff,
"Phew, I'm warned out!" I said, kicking off my heels. Louis plopped down on the bed next to me and I snuggled into his chest, smelling in his sweet cologne, and feeling at complete ease. He rubs my hair softly, humming quietly, and this moment is perfect, right here, right now, in Louis's arms; but something always has to go wrong.
Someone bangs loudly on the door.
"What the hell?" Louis mutters before standing up and heading towards the door. I sit up straight in the bed, waiting to see who it was. Louis opens the door swiftly, and who comes waltzing in is defiantly not someone I wanted to see,
        "Surprise!" Eleanor shouts.
