Alex's POV
My hands immediately went to his chest to push him away, hard. Flash.
"What the fuck, Brendon?" My voice was stone cold. "I'm not a fucking tactic to get your pathetic ex-boyfriend jealous, alright? You fucking wanker, I can't believe you!" My cheeks were wet, and I was thanking God that I was wearing waterproof mascara.
His face was blank, and his lips slightly parted. Flash.
"I... I'm..." he stuttered.
"Don't even try to talk to me. I... I'm going home." I turned on my heel towards the exit and began to walk away. I have to admit, I was disappointed to not feel a hand grab my arm to pull me back around, but I pushed any feeling aside and wrapped my coat around me tighter. Pushing through the double doors, I was met with a welcome burst of cold air that slightly began to clear my head.
"I just need a walk," I whispered to myself, proceeding my route down the unknown sidewalk.
My fingers clenched and unclenched into fists; I couldn't decide if I was angry, or sad, or both. My thoughts raced faster than I could catch, and I decided that the best option was to take a seat, so I did on the dirty pavement and leaned up against a relatively large building.
Just as I inhaled, I felt a shadow approach me and felt a circular object on the side of my head, and my breath was cut short.
"Give me your money. I don't want to hurt you, ma'am. Please."
Oh God oh god oh god oh god...
My hands were instinctively raised over my head, and I reached to grab my purse.
"Slowly," the man commanded.
"HEY, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" That was not a voice that I expected. A tall shape knocked the gun out of my attackers hand and quickly grasped his wrist.
The figure pinned the man against the wall and leaned in right in his face. "You are lucky that that is the worst I did." he whispered harshly.
My knight in shining armor released the thug and I watched him run off into the fog of the knight.
The same hands that had previously pinned the hobo against the wall were offered to me. "You need any help?"
"Bloody hell..."
"Excuse me?"
"Bloody hell! Thank you so much!" I took his hands and he hoisted me up. "I don't know how I could ever-"
Oh.
A crooked grin dressed the face before me- a bearded, brunette face.
"Ryan... Your voice got deep."
