Zac
The day went so well for me before that Dearg Dues came. I hang out with Maddie. It took a while to convince Austin to let Maddie and Grace train with us since those two are inseparable. I even manage to say the convincing words without giving an idea to Austin that I find Maddie interesting and cute.
Maddie volunteer to train me which was really my plan. I've known her for a day and I have memorized all the details in her face like the little mole in her neck. Maddie always moves her hands whenever she's talking. Maddie may be the most decent crush I've had. I feel really ashamed that I had a huge crush on Lauren Williams who turn out to be a very ugly empusa. If I were to choose between Lauren and Marishka, I will choose Marishka since she's a vampire who's really beautiful.
One thing I found out about Maddie while we were training is her big addiction towards Celtic Mythology. "I mean the Celts have the rarest herbs, you know." Maddie said as we take a short break and sit in the ground as we watch the campers. I guess being a daughter of Demeter requires you to love plants and herbs.
"It must be so amazing to be a Celtic demigod." She adds.
"Yeah, I mean the Celts have the best weapons. They inspire video games."
Steph came by with Frank. Her hair soaking wet and she wears the lamest statement shirt I've ever seen.
"Steph is like your girlfriend." It came out more of a statement than a question.
"What no! Steph's just my best friend. Steph will probably end up as a spinster. I'm not saying it in mean way."
"No way, there's no way she's gonna end up like."
"We will never know. Steph never talks about boys. All she talks about is nerd stuff."
She then turns to me, "So what is Zac Greenberg? What are you into?"
I tried to be cool, "You know, Lacrosse, photography... and playing drums." but Paige suddenly came in the conversation and say, "He sucks at Lacrosse."
Maddie laugh in a way I never taught she could. "How about filming? Steph mention that you make film."
We scoot backward to avoid being hit by Grace's sword, "Ah yeah. I make them during summer."
"What do you make?" Maddie turned to me, her hair falling down her shoulder as she hugs her knees. I looked down at her shoes. She wears this black leather slip on shoes but almost all of the leather is now scratch out.
"I make these cartoon series. It's about three friends who are in a reform school."
"It's about your life?"
"Yup, it's an autobiography."
"Maybe we should have a marathon about it."
Maddie smiled. I prayed to the gods to let our conversation continue but then the Dearg Dues came.

Day 3 of Doomsday (10:00 am)
I stand there looking at Steph as she broke down and her words vomiting in her mouth. I have never seen Steph this angry and hurt before. In fact, the last time Steph was piss off was when Paige and Kyle dated. I was beginning to think that Steph might bite Jason and Percy. Steph doesn't look good. She got bruises on her knees, her forehead was bleeding and the side of her lip is swelling. If we compare our appearance to Steph, we would look like a baby. No one even look hurt except for Leo who got her shirt burned again. I wonder how many spare T-shirt this guy has. He should seriously make his clothes fire proof.
