Your tinsel crown fell off your head and on the floor of your kitchen. You pulled out a pack of sparklers and prepared to light them. The television in the corner started counting down seconds until next year. The crowd called out, "ten, nine, eight-"
"Doctor! If you don't get in here I will light all the sparklers and throw them at you!"
The Doctor showed up at the door. "Calm it YN I'm here!"
Shoving a glow stick necklace over his head you mouthed the words, three, two, one.
You stood on your tiptoes and kissed his cheek. "Happy New Year Doctor!"
He smiled as you walked to the fridge. "You know, I am not sure why you humans are so obsessed with a new year."
You pulled the ice cream out and scooped your favorite flavor into two bowls. "It is quite simple really. People everywhere, or just us people on Tumblr and Instagram seem to think it is a big deal. It isn't that important. But it is symbolic I guess."
You pushed spoons into the bowls and put the ice cream up. "It marks new beginning. New rules for yourself if you have all those resolutions."
Walking over, you passed him his ice cream. You picked up your spoon and clinked it to his like a teacup. "Happy New Year Doctor."
