I woke up in my mother and fathers room. I always slept with them when I had uneasy nights. I dragged myself out the bed and walked to the bathroom. I washed my face, brushed my teeth and threw my hair up in a messy bun for the day.

"Jade, come downstairs... I have news for you " My mother called from downstairs. I didn't change what I wearing, I was way too comfortable.

I walked downstairs, to the living room and was greeted by my parents and younger brother sitting on the sofa. I contemplated what new problems have surfaced with me.
I could already feel the change in the mood once I hit the bottom of the staircase, what could be happening now? "Jade please sit down." My dad sounded like a mediation counselor. What could I have done?

My mom took a deep breath, I was anticipating a scolding but her mouth quickly picked up on both ends and a bright smile grew on her face. "We're moving!" she said, excitement clouding her lungs. Me? I did not find any of this exciting or good in any way. When you're constantly moving, losing friends and starting over repeatedly it's nothing exciting. I still can't believe we left the packed house in the first place.

"Where to this time? Another secluded area? Will we at least stay in town so I can keep my friends this time?" I said, slowly becoming enraged waiting for a response that would leave me even more angry than I was right now. But she continued to smile. "We're going back to the pack house." It took a minute to let the news soak in. "Really?" I asked, finally understanding the excitement my mother felt.  She nodded, confirming the news and I shrieked in excitement. My little brother claps both hands before uttering  "Sissy's happy." "Yes, I am" I agreed.

"But we have to begin packing now, we have to make an early arrival.  A few things have changed and we are expecting a tour on behalf of the Alpha's son, who's next in line." my dad informs us. I haven't been at the pack house in so long. I left when I was six. For all the friends I made, I had one enemy.

"Jade, help your mother pack your brothers things, then tend to yours. We're leaving by nightfall, so we have a busy day ahead of us." I agreed with my dad and headed to my brother's room to help pack. I cheated by using my speed but so did my mother.

Being a werewolf has its many advantages, like a destined love, speed, quick healing, heightened sense and a lot of other things that I can figure out once I get back to the pack house and begin training. It also has disadvantages. Having a mate isn't always what it seems like.

When I finished, I went to pack my room up. I left my bed, my chair, my desk and my dressers. We chose to leave all the furniture because the pack house has everything we will need. It took five hours to finish.

Once we had all the boxes by the front door, my father called the pack house and told them we were ready to load the truck and leave. we waited about three and a half hours for them to get here, and half an hour to load the truck. Then we were on the road for a few hours.

When we got to the pack house, I was the first to jump out the car and stretch. When everyone else got out, the movers brought everything inside to wherever our stay was. I walked slowly to the porch, silently taking in my surroundings and looking at the house. The Alpha stepped out onto the porch and I immediately bowed, my parents and brother, doing the same.
"As the Smith family, we ask permission to join the rejoin pack in the pack house. " My dad asked, "Permission granted." Said the alpha. There was a cold gust of air but no wind was blown. We all stood and entered the house, behind the Alpha.

"My son will show you to your stay. " Said the Alpha.  A tall handsome young man came out of the office. He looked about 17 which was the same age as me. He looked more familiar as he approached us. He cleared his throat which sent chills down my spine and he introduced himself. "I am Jace, the future alpha of the pack. Follow me and I will show you to your stay."
A very low but sensed growl ruptured from my chest. My mother hit my shoulder for my outburst. I know who he is. For all the friends I had, it made me one enemy. Jace wasn't on of my friends and you just can't forget how mean someone was to you when you were younger.

When we made it to our abode, Jace let everyone through, but once I tried to go inside Jace grabbed me by my ear and forced me against the wall. "ouch!" I shouted struggling to free his grip. "Hi Jade, long time no see!" he smirked. "Leave me alone Jace, does it kill you to be a gentleman sometimes? or at least brush your teeth?" I asked. I lifted my knee right to his crotch and distanced myself once he let me go and hunched over.

"You're not getting away that easy punk" he growled still hunched. He wasn't really intimidating I could just mind linking his father, I learned never to snitch because he'll just do what he can to make everything twice as bad. "I'm not afraid of you Jace,"I state boldly, unsure if it was a lie or the truth.

"Oh, okay. So you think you're a big girl now?" he mocks me. "I know I am, now go away," I say walking to the door. He tries to block me but I shove him out the way and head inside, closing the door behind me. My dad points out my bedroom, which he had already put all my boxes in.

My mom comes into the room and begins asking a series of questions. "What took you so long?" she asks leaning on the door frame. I first told her "I don't know" but she stands in the doorway and pushes for a better excuse. "The Alpha's son is pretty handsome." she says trying to connect to me and get a confession out of me. "No he's actually a huge jerk and I hope I don't see him around as much as I probably will."I say making my mom bite back on her last statement. I know she was probably hoping I found my mate, but I know it's not him and I would probably ask for a refund.
"So then why were you out there with him so long? " she asked. "Against my will?" I implied strongly for her to understand. she nodded to let me know she understands and leaves my room. I need to sleep.
