LUCY'S POV~~~~

I was sitting on the floor in the practice room, sketch pad in hand. Lockwood was practicing a move on Esmerelda. I starred at him as he moved gracefully toward her. He was perfect, his stances, his lunges, his foot work. I studied his face, his perfect jaw line. His hair, how it looked was he moved. How he slightly bit his lip when he was concentrating. I looked down at my paper. There he was.
" done!" I stated
" darn."'George said in a low voice.
Me and George had gotten into another argument this morning about who could draw better. We decided to have a competition. But we could figure out what to draw. That were Lockwood comes in. He ducked his head in the room and said that he was going to practice for a bit. We ended up following him down stairs saying that we were going to do some paper work. Not the smoothest story but he somewhat bought it anyway.
" done with what Luce." Lockwood said stopping what he was doing and walking to me. A grin creeped onto Georges face. Thats when he turned his paper to me, it was blank. That sun of a gun tricked me.
" nothing!" I said a little to forcefully, pressing the pad to my chest. I got up to leave but George stuck his foot out at the last minute tripping me. The pad flew from my hand, I had saw this coming thought. I quickly put my hands out and rolled to a sitting position, the pad landed in my lap. I jumped up and turned to them both. Their eyes were wide.
" nice job Luce, now hand over the book." He said grinning.
" no thank you." I said pulling a grin on similar to Lockwoods. I went to run to the door but George beat me to it. He sat down right in front of the door.
" let me through." I exclaimed
" let me see the book." He snickered
Just then the book flew from under my arm. Lockwood had crept up from behind me and stole the book. He looked at the drawing, his eyes widened
" this is really good Luce!" He said, though it came out as more of a whisper. He looked at me with his dark eyes, I couldn't look away. He threw the book and the ground, he grabbed my waist and said " im so sorry but I can't hold this back much longer." And with that he kissed me. I heard Georges frantic whales from behind me. I put my hands on his chest and pushed as hard as I could. He looked hurt but I didn't care.
" WHAT WAS THAT?!?!" I screamed at him
he flinched when I screamed.
" Im sorry Luce I did mean to " " TO WHAT!?" I interrupted him. His eyes were filled with sadness.
"IM YOUR EMPLOYE. NOTHING MORE!" I screamed running out of the room leaving him behind. I barged into my room and slammed the door shut behind me. I clasped onto the floor as powerful sobs erupted from deep within my sole. I loved him so much. But I couldn't let him in, every time I let someone in they got hurt. I stood up, wiping the tears from my eyes. I grabbed my suitcase and began packing. Once everything was away I grabbed a sheet of paper and wrote
Thanks for nothing on it. I threw it on the bed and retched the door open. I picked the suitcase up and crept down the stairs. Once I was on the first floor I ran down the hallway toward the front door. When I got there I turned my head toward the kitchen. George stood in the doorway. Sadness and confusion were written all other his face. I turned back toward the door, pulling it open, and leaving.

GEORGES POV~~~~

I saw her leave. I saw the door shut on my best friend. I didn't waste time. I ran up the stairs toward Lockwood's door. When I got there I started pounding wildly on his door. It opened to a red faced Lockwood.
" SHE LEFT!" I yelled.
" what?" He asked.
" Lucy, I just saw her leave with her suitcase!"
" AND YOU DIDN'T STOP HER!" He screamed running toward the stairs. I should have gone after him. I should have helped. But I didn't.

LOCKWOOD'S POV~~~ I dashed to the front door and threw it open. I ran out into the warm summer afternoon. I ran up the stairs and looked down the street, at Lucy's cab, that was pulling away from me. I knew were she was headed, the train station. I tore off down the alley next to Lockwood and co. I knew a shortcut the the station. If I booked it I could make it there before her. Hopefully.
