Chapter XLII-Love Is In The Air. Quite Literally...

                                    

                                          
"We're back!" I called out, as I opened up the guild doors. "It was probably the worst-um...what?" 
The first sight that met my eyes was Mira deep-kissing Laxus.
I was sort of speechless; I mean, I wasn't against it in anyway, but when a couple is making out in front of you, you just feel awkward...
Hikari burst in after me and a despairing look appeared on her face the moment see saw the couple.
Mira broke away, looked at us and giggled.
Was she drunk or something?
Not a chance.
Her face was red and her eyes had gone all cloudy.
I'm pretty sure alcohol couldn't do that to someone, well unless your name is Cana...
"Mira? You okay?" I asked, catiously.
She simply giggled again, turned back around to face Laxus and began kissing him again.
                          
"Gray-sama~" came Juvia's voice from a table behind Mira and Laxus.
"Juvia wants Gray-sama...Right now~" the water witch said, seducingly.
"Dammit! Juvia, you're just too cute!" Gray exclaimed, placing her on the table and climbing on top of her.
What the...
"What's happening? Gray would never say anything like that to Juvia!" Yuki pointed out.
I looked around the room and saw Natsu leaving kissmarks on Lucy's neck.
"Natsu~" she moaned, whilst Natsu continued to leave his hickeys.
                          
"I feel like I'm third-wheeling to the max..." I mumbled. "No, wait. I am third-wheeling to the max!"
Everywhere I looked, I saw couples making out and the like.
Gajeel and Levy...
Lisanna and Bixslow...
Even Rowen and Wendy were kissing! (Although, not as intense as the others)
"Where's Hikari gone?" Turq asked, among the steamy atomsphere.
"She's over there in the corner, sulking. I don't know why though..." Yuki answered.
"We need to figure out what's going on!" I shouted over the sound of estatic moans and giggling.
                          
"Shinji!"
                          
I turned around at my name and then suprised by Yukino who threw herself at me.
"Yukino? Do you know what's happening?" I asked.
"Yes, I do" she replied, smiling.
"What is it?"
"Everybody's in love~"
"Huh? Yukino, by any chance are you...?"
She leaned forward and kissed me lightly on the lips.
"That's enough talking. Just kiss me~" the white-haired beauty smiled, mischeviously.
I couldn't even react fast enough as Yukino began kissing me.
She pried my mouth with her tounge and began deep-kissing me.
Our tounges were fighting for dominance and I was losing...but I had to find the cause to all of this...but I guess five more minutes wouldn't make a difference, right?
                          
Yuki's POV
I sat down at the bar and sighed.
'Sure, I know I don't have a girlfriend, but there's no need for everyone to rub it in...' I thought.
I heard someone walk over and sit down next to me.
"Hikari? I thought you were sulking in a corner" I said, recognising my teammate.
"Yeah, well now I'm not" she replied, her tounge was like a knife!
"Everybody's making out around us and we're just sitting here..."
"Well, don't get any ideas, I hate you, remember?"
"Of course! Like I could forget my hatred for you! You weak Dragon Slayer!"
"What did you say, you silver-haired idiot!" 
"I said that you were a weak Dragon Slayer!"
Hikari suddenly pushed me right off my seat, but as I was falling; I grabbed her hand, bringing her down with me.
I hit the floor first, groaning in pain, but I stopped when I looked up into a pair of bright blue eyes
                          
Hikari face was so close to mine!
                          
I went to push her off, but I couldn't gather any strength in my arms. All I could do was look straight into the bright blue vortex that were eyes...
"G-Get off me, idiot..." I mumbled.
"Be quiet already! All you ever do is complain..." Hikari retaliated, quietly.
                          
But she didn't move...
                          
"I said get off me already!" I said, but with not much meaning.
"I don't want to" she said, defiantely.
"Why? You hate me, right?" 
"Y-Yeah, I hate you, that's why I'm doing this..."
She said the whole thing, whilst looking into my eyes.
                          
I didn't know if it was just me, but I felt like Hikari had leaned in closer to my face...
                          
"W-What I'm about to do is also, because I hate y-you" she stammered, closing her eyes and coming closer.
Her lips...
                          
SHE WANTED TO KISS ME?!? 
NO WAY!!!
                          
Is probably what I would've earlier, if you'd told me that Hikari wanted to lock lips with me.
But it was just a kiss, I-I mean, k-kisses don't mean anything; especially between the two of us.
We both just wanted to see what it felt like and I knew that Hikari was thinking the exact same thing!
                          
I could feel her breathing on my lips as I closed my eyes in leaned in closer as well.
 'She's definetly thinking the same thing as me, as we got closer and closer' I thought.
                          
But what if she wasn't?
