I remember very little from the years before my mother died, like how my mother Lyanna used to play with me when she wasn't tending to the needs of my father, hide and seek was my favorite, mostly because of my adept speed and size I could find the best places to hide that no one would ever think to look. Also I remember my mother's beautiful smile, and how she always made me feel safe and happy. But most of all in my little mind I remembered the way my father looked at her, like she lit the sky and hung the moon, he used to say we were his favorite girls. This was before our lives were tarnished by the death of my mother, and the depression my father fell into soon after.
. Those were trying times, and despite my efforts to keep the atmosphere light, father soon had become cruel and hard, there were whores constantly in the castle, and shouting through the night. I could feel the pain in my father's heart seeping through the floorboards poisoning the days and nights. There was no love for me any longer and my presence was just a reminder of what once was. The sky was no longer bright, and the days dragged on sluggishly.
Soon after the war, my father took the throne and wed Cersei Lannister, in the beginning she was a normal step-mother, she tried to be caring and accept me as her own. But as her hatred for my father and his admittedly terrible mistakes grew, she started to loathe me as much as I her. After a while Cersei gave birth to their first child Joffrey, he was immediately revered by everyone in the kingdom, he was put on a pedestal so high I could never hope to climb it. As the years went on Joffrey and I begrudgingly became friendly with each other, we were close even though soon after he became cruel and sadistic.
When I got older and aged to year 13 was when I first had a conversation of any substance with 'The Hound' as named by the members of the kingdom. He was ordered to come on my morning walk with me by my father's request. I don't remember much of the conversation now, but I remember asking him if he had to come with me, he reiterated what my father has said multiple times before saying. " Yes, or at least until you learn to protect yourself, until then you need a guard." I asked him how I could learn to protect myself as no one would teach me since I was a girl, and he said he would teach me to wield a sword if we got enough time away from the judgemental eyes of the kingdom, and that is how my morning walks turned to training in the woods with the Hound.
From those years on all I had on my mind was the Swordplay, and Archery. While other girls my age were thinking of boys and starting families. I imagined leaving, exploring places that were once foreign to me. I wanted to travel and hunt and find love where you thought you never would. I remember once telling my father of this and he told me I sounded so much like my mother.
Now I am the age of 19, today father said we would be visiting an old friend of his up north the Starks, I am familiar with the family but I hadn't been there since their oldest was just two. They have definitely expanded since then because of now I think they have six? I told him that I was excited of course I didn't say it was because I had never been that far outside the castle walls and it would be nice to see something new, that would be silly. But I kissed my father on the cheek, and told him that I would be packing in my room.

Author's Note
Well this is the end of the first chapter... This is also my first time posting any of my writing on Wattpad, so I was wondering if you could give me feedback in the comments? Also I will be posting the next chapter on Saturday, hoping to make a schedule of posting on Fridays, and Sundays.
Anyway I am really excited to be writing this because I just love the Lannister's, and I am really looking forward to writing this really strong female character into this world in specific.
