Chapter 26.

                                    

                                          
Lucas's POV-
                          
She was okay.
                          
Just a few injuries. 
                          
No one could believe how happy I was when I heard this. I was glad it was nothing more serious, She could have been seriously hurt.
                          
I walked up to her bedside, where she was lay down. 
                          
"Are you okay, Maya?" I asked her. I wanted to make sure she was experiencing no more pain,Afterall --- even though the doctors had given her painkillers who knows?
                          
"I'm always okay." She smiled a little.
                          
I nodded and smiled back at her. Her mum got informed about what had happened and was going to see Maya later on,Which was good for Maya.
She'd probably need her mum in a time like this.
                          
"Maya , Your mums coming to see you soon." I smiled gently at her. "She's been worried about you --- But it's good your fine. I'm glad."
                          
Maya smiled a little back. It didn't look as if it was a proper smile. Instead it looked as if she was smiling through her pain,which she probably was.
Her injury must have taken a lot out of her. "I'm glad too,Huckleberry."
                          
"Try and rest ,til' your mum comes." I smiled,Kissing the top of her forehead.
                          
She smiled. "I will." Before closing her eyelids.
                          
You could tell she barely had any energy left in her , Usually she wasn't this soft or nice with me,But right now I guess she just wanted everything to be normal while she was still recovering. But I can't blame her,if I was in her case I'd want everything to be as normal as possible, Considering it must have took a lot out of her as I've already mentioned.
                          
I walked out of the room ,leaving her to rest. My mum was sitting outside of the room,on a chair with two coffee's placed in her hands.
                          
"I thought you might need this for when you come out of the hospital room,to give you some energy." She smiled lightly at me. "You've been brave,despite the whole issue with what's happened today."
                          
"Not as brave as Maya."
                          
"Well,not as brave as her." She admitted. "She wasn't brave because she rode the bull,She was brave because she risked herself for you."
                          
I nodded, taking in the words she said with great care. I wanted to try and remember every word she said --- As I knew everyone of those words was true.
                          
The room fell silent. "I agree."
                          
My mother looked as if she blanked out when she heard this. "Agree on what,dear?"
                          
"Agree on the whole brave thing,I agree with every word you've said,mom." I said smiling at her.
                          
She smiled back at me. "I'm glad you agree,But it is true."
"She's a fighter,this one."
                          
I couldn't help but smile. "She is,she's a fighter, she always has and will be,won't she mom?"
                          
My mom simply nodded and smiled. "She can get through anything." 
                          
I felt like a little child when she said this,I couldn't help but believe what she said.
                          
Maya's POV-
                          
I couldn't wait for my mom to come and see me later on ,But the only thing I feared was her reaction. 
                          
How would she react about me falling off a bull?She certainly wouldn't be pleased,would she? No,she would not be pleased.
                          
I can imagine her reaction, Glad to see I'm okay and haven't been injured that bad,angry because I rode a bull despite not knowing how to ride one,and lastly upset. We don't have much family left,My mom meant a lot to me,And I meant a lot to her too. She had been the best mom she could have possibly been to me,I couldn't appreciate her anymore then I already did.
She had done a lot for me.
                          
I loved her a lot and was glad to have her,Most of all I was looking forward to seeing her.
She said she was going to come over,But I worried about the cost of how much it would cost her.
                          
We didn't earn a lot really, We needed all the money we could get by scrapping and saving ---- We had saved for quite some time,Her pay was a lot bigger at Topanga's which was good on one hand,But I could only pray that she wouldn't mind the possible cost of all of this.
                          
But as she'd always said to me since I was a little girl. "
                          
Maya, Your my sweet baby girl,I'd do anything for you,You know that,don't you sweetheart?"
                          
I nodded ,hugging and Clutching her tightly. "I know that,mom. I love you."
                          
She smiled at me and hugged tightly back. "I love you too, Darling."

I still remembered that after all of these years,I had a lot of memories to do with my mother.
                          
Great memories,Maybe her coming wouldn't be all bad despite her being upset,it could be good too.
                          
Lucas and his mum were outside, both of them chatting with a coffee in there hand whilst I layed down onto the hospital bed,staring up at the ceiling.
                          
I was probably going to be in Texas for a while,depending on how fast I recovered.
I wanted to recover quickly ---- I couldn't stand the pain I was in,But I also didn't want to leave Texas due to Lucas being here, I didn't want to leave Lucas in Texas by himself.
