I stared at him, wondering whether I should cry or yell at him. I settled for, "Uh, yeah. Right. We're... even. Sure."
"Listen, I need to train, Minxie..." He muttered, tilting his head at me. He looked so cute... And I'm so stupid for even thinking that.
"Yeah, right. Training... I'll just go," I said, leaning off of the tree and turning my back to him.
"Minx..." I spun around to face him. He looked like he was wondering whether or not he should say something. "Uh... Never mind," He said, turning back to his tree.
"Yeah... That's what I thought you would say..." I muttered under my breath, walking over to Naruto's tree. I sat down not too far from his tree, my back facing Sasuke. How could I be so stupid? Why did I even care? Why does him not saying anything bother me so much?
"Minxie!" I looked up, raising an eyebrow at Naruto, who had called me. "I quit! How're you supposed to do this crap!?"
I chuckled, standing up. "It's simple, Naruto. Just focus your chakra. You have to balance it out. If you put too little chakra into it, you won't stick to the surface of the tree. Too much, and you'll bounce right back to the ground..." I continued explaining the exercise to him, and he nodded, determination in his eyes.
"Yeah! Now I get it! I'll do this, believe it!" He cheered, bouncing up with a smile at me. I smiled back, nodding, and he began his exercise again.
I sighed, sitting back down. This was so boring... And I feel sorta bummed out with the whole Sasuke situation, and I don't know why. It's... Unethical. I shouldn't be thinking so much about it. So what? He didn't say anything. It's not like I expected him to. It shoudn't bother me.
I sighed again, suddenly wishing that Kylie was here. She would know what to do; she always does. When it came to boys, she was an expert. She could tell if you were meant to be or not. And she could figure out what a boy thought about you in seconds.
It's not like I care what Sasuke thinks about me, though. I could care less what he thinks. Is it wrong that I want him to drown in a pool of honey? Probably. Oh, well.
I took out my iPod from the pouch that was around my waist, plugging the ear buds into my ears. Pieces by Sum 41 came on, one of my favorite songs, and I drowned out the world with it.
Third Person's POV
Naruto and Sasuke were still climbing their trees... And neither of them had any success. Sometimes they used too much chakra. Other times, they used no chakra at all. And all the while, they kept glaring at each other's progress, neither of them wanting to be left behind.
The raven-haired Uchiha, however, found that he was having a rather hard time concentrating. And he couldn't understand why. Ever since Minxie had spoken to him earlier, climbing the tree had become much harder.
Speaking of Minxie, the brunette was sitting down, her back against a tree not too far from where Naruto was training. Her eyes were closed, and she had headphones in her ears. Obviously, she didn't want to be bothered. She couldn't hear anything, which was a bonus when you were trying to shut out the world.
