I've been home for a couple of days or so and it's been great so far. It's nice to be able to see my family after being away for school. Once I got home, I was instantly bombarded with hugs and questions. Some about school, but most of them were about Harry. My little sister Brooklyn still asks me about him even now because she's a big fan of One Direction (I might of had a little bit of an influence on her).
Today is the fourth of July, so my family is rushing around, getting ready for our family's cookout at my aunt's house. I told my mom that I would help Brooklyn get ready while she cooked. I gave her a bath, then changed her into a white dress and red leggings. The four year old gave me some trouble, but I promised her that if she behaved I'd polish her nails. After that, she reluctantly complied.
After she put on her white flats, helped her put her hair into a braid. Once she was fully ready, I let her run off and play as I got myself ready. I changed into a plain white crop top and a pair of high-waisted denim shorts that had the american flag on the front. My hair was still curly from the other day, so I just put it half up and left the rest down.
I slid on a pair of red converse then called out for Brooklyn. She was at my door within second with her stuffed Olaf toy in her hands. "Yeah?" she asked.
"Come here so I can paint your nails," I offered. She nodded her head and sat on my bed that my mom kept from my high school years. I grabbed my red, blue, and white nail polish before I sat in front of her. "Which one?" I questioned. She picked up the blue one.
As I polished her nails, she began to ask questions. "Will I ever get to meet Harry?" she asked looking up at me.
"Maybe one day," I told her, "Would you like to talk to him?" Once the question left my lips, she started bouncing with joy.
"Please, please, please, please, PLEASE!" she begged. I let out a little laugh at her enthusiasm and reached for my phone. I checked the time to make sure it wasn't too early back in California since we are 3 hours ahead. After doing my math, I saw that it was about 9 in the morning there.
I went to his contact and called him. I placed my phone on speaker, so I could finish polishing Brooklyn's nails. "Hello," Harry answered. Brooklyn let out a little squeal.
"Morning babe," I smiled at both the sound of his voice and the cuteness of Brooklyn.
"Good morning," he replied, "What was that sound?"
"That was my little sister," I started, "Say hi Brooklyn."
"Hi!" she squeaked as she waved towards the phone with the hand I wasn't polishing.
"Hi sweetheart. How old are you?"
"I'm this many," she said as she held up four fingers.
"He can't see you silly," I smiled.
"Oh. I'm four," she continued. They talked for a little bit after that until he had to go. By the time their conversation was over, I finished Brooklyn's nails and they had time to dry.
She grabbed Olaf and ran off to show my mom her pretty blue nails. I quickly polished my nails as well, painting my thumbs blue and alternating between red and white on the others. Once everyone was finished getting ready, we all headed off to my aunt's house.
When we got there, a majority of the family was already there. I caught up with a few of my cousins as we sat around and ate until we couldn't eat anymore. As it got darker out, most of us gathered outside around the firepit, waiting for the right time to start the fireworks.
The little kids were beginning to grow impatient, so we gave them sparklers to distract them for the moment. Soon enough, it grew darker out and the firework show began. Some of my cousins set off fireworks in the distance as everyone watched in awe.
I took a picture of one of the fireworks and sent it to Harry and added 'Wish you were here' under it. Not long after, he texted back, 'Wish I was too. I miss you love.' I told him I missed him too and went back to watching the fireworks.

Here's the next chapter. I hope you guys like it. I haven't been feeling well lately, but I felt like writing so I did. As you might have saw earlier, I messed up the dates a little bit. I mentioned at the end of the last chapter that this is kind of based around the OTRA tour dates. Although, around the time Harry and Alyssa met, One Direction was still in Europe. For the sake of the story, we're going to pretend they were on a break between the Europe lag and the US lag of the tour.
On a complete side note, the little sister I mentioned in here isn't technically, fully 100% real. I don't really talk about my personal life, but this might be the exception. Currently I have 8 siblings total(2 full siblings, a half brother on my mom's, and 3 half sisters and 2 half brothers on my dad's side). My parent separated when I was 2. I love all my brothers and sisters the same whether they're a half or full sibling.
Anyway, a few months ago, my mom found out that she was pregnant and just recently we found out that it's a girl. A name they were thinking about was Brooklyn and I just so happened to like the name, so I used it. I made her four because in this story, Alyssa (who is sort of based off me, if you didn't know) just completed her junior year of college(which is why she's on summer break now) and is 21 years old. I am currently 16, but I'll be 17 when Brooklyn is born. So I did my math and got four, which is how old she'll be when I'm 21.
Sorry for the super long author's note. I just felt like I needed to explain everything. Hope you don't mind and I hope you liked this chapter. Let me know what you think.
