Chapter 17

                                    

                                          
Robins POV
                          
I left the warehouse that Ocelot and I had cleaned out. I went to an alley to find batman, still fitting the wheels onto his car. 
                          
"How long does it take you to change a tire?" I said. 
                          
"The kid took off the entire wheel. All four of them." An angry batman said. "How did you go at the ware house?"
                          
"Great. Ocelot and I cleared the entire place out and destroyed the drugs."
                          
"Ocelot? Why was Ocelot there?" Batman asked. 
                          
"I saw her on my way there and she helped me take the thugs down." I said. 
                          
"Are you sure she didn't take any of the drugs? Are you sure she didn't just slide some into her belt or something?"
                          
"No. She wouldn't do that."
                          
"You don't know what she'd do. We don't know anything about her." 
                          
"Calm down bats. The drugs were in a huge sealed crate. She couldn't have opened it and I blew it up first chance I got." 
                          
"Well I know you would've done that. But just keep an eye on Ocelot when around her. You can't trust her." Batman said. 
                          
"You expect the worst from everyone. Do you?"
                          
Batman smiled. "I've even got a plan if superman turns evil. I keep a lot of kryptonite in the Batcave." 
                          
"And once again I learn something new about you." I said. 
                          
Sirens were heard in the distance. And a car going at an extremely fast pace drove by. Followed by several police cars. 
                          
"The Batmoblie's fixed." Batman said. "Get in."
                          
We jumped into the Batmoblie and drove off after the speeding car. We drove past the police cars and were gaining on the speeding car. 
                          
"Take the wheel." Batman said. 
                          
I reached over and grabbed it as batman climbed out the top of the Batmoblie. 
I already knew what he was going to do so I pulled up close to the car. The driver was wearing a skull mask. He looked at me and held up a pistol.
                          
Blam. Blam. Blam. 
                          
Thank god for bullet proof windows
Batman jumped onto the roof of the other car. The driver must've heard a thud because he began blindly shooting through the roof while keeping his eyes on the road. 
Batman didn't get hit by any of the bullets and managed to get to the driver side door and ripped the man out of the car. Batman jumped off the car as it self drove straight into a pole. 
I braked and got out of the Batmoblie. 
By the time I got out the skull masked guy had already started running. 
Batman and I gave chase. 
The man shot something up the building and zipped up it. 
                          
"Great. He's got a grapnel gun too" I said taking out mine and shooting it. 
                          
"Stay focused. This guy is good." Batman said also shooting his grapnel. 
                          
When we reached the top of the building the skull man stood there. He had a sword in his hand and was ready to fight. 
I got to the roof before batman and ran towards him to attack. He swung his sword at me and I jumped back but then launched forward again and punched him. The punch connected to his stomach. But he didn't even care. He grabbed my arm and flopped me to the ground. 
I went to attack again but batman held an arm in front of me to stop me. 
                          
"Don't Robin. This guy is a trained killer. He will not be afraid to end you here and now."
                          
"How do you know that?" I asked. 
                          
"Because that's what all of Ra's al ghuls assassins do." Batman said looking at the skull man. 
                          
"You are not worthy to speak the name of the great one. I should kill you for that." He said raising the sword. But he then put the sword away. "But my mission does not concern you"
                          
"If it's in this city. It concerns me." Said batman. 
                          
"Why?" Said the assassin. "Why should you care what I do?"
                          
"Because usually an assassin of Ra's al Ghul's mission is killing someone or trying to take over the world." Said batman. 
                          
"My mission is neither. I only have to find Katie Simmons and deliver her." Said the assassin. 
                          
My eyes widened. Katie. What did he want with her. What did Ra's al Ghul want with her. 
                          
"Deliver her to who? Ra's?" Asked batman. 
                          
"Sorry. Can't tell you. But you should stay out of it batman. Ra's al Ghul is getting tired of you're constant interference to our cause." He said. He then suddenly threw a smoke pellet down and disappeared. 
                          
He's looking for Katie. He's going to kill her. I have to save her. 
I turned to batman. He saw the look of anguish on my face. 
                          
"Robin. Are you ok?" He asked. 
                          
"Batman. He's. He's looking for one of my friends. at school. I know Katie Simmons." I stuttered. 
                          
"Why would he tell us who he's looking for?" Batman questioned. 
                          
"Who cares. We've got to get Katie to a safe place. We've got to protect her."
                          
"No. We can't." Said batman. 
                          
"What?" I was genuinely surprised. 
                          
"Robin. He wants us to do that. He is probably watching us right now and will follow us to the girl." Batman explained. "We are just gonna have to hope he doesn't find her."
                          
"HOPE HE DOESN'T FIND HER!!!" 
I shouted. "He's an assassin. He's gonna hunt her down and kill her." 
                          
"No. He will won't kill her. He will take her to someone. But who? And why?"
