Bo's POV:
"Who's this mystery girl of yours?" His cousin, Lucas, asked. "I don't have a mystery girl. I have a shy, incredibly gorgeous girl." Bo answered. He'd seen everyone's snapchats of his kiss with Nova, and answered about half of the questions people had asked. Bo was terrified of how Nova would react to it all, but she surprisingly texted him this morning. She was cute even when she wasn't around. "Well who is she?" Lucas asked again. "We're just friends Luke." He told him. The comparison didn't fit Nova though. "So you kiss all your friends like that?" Lucas continued. Holy shit he was asking a lot of questions this morning. Bo rolled his eyes at his cousin and texted Nova back.-Hang out later? He sent.
Bo was desperate. He wanted to see her again and it hadn't even been a full day since they'd seen each other. He never felt like this when he was dating Bailey. Everything was different Nova, and he loved it. It was like he wasn't Bo Smith starting varsity or Bo Smith straight A student; he was just Bo.
-I'm with Danni for the day, but she said we could meet you somewhere if you wanted. She replied.
- yeah that's cool. I have my cousin with me so they can talk to each other. He sent.Bo didn't care what they did, he just wanted to be with her.
-Danni said he better not be lame, but we'll meet you for lunch and go do something after. Nova told him.
Bo couldn't even attempt to act nonchalant about their plans. Lucas was looking at him like Bo was crazy. "Get ready we have plans today." He told him before leaving the kitchen.*****
An hour later they were on their way to meet Nova and Danni. "You take so long to get ready Bo." Lucas said. He rolled his eyes. He didn't take any longer than Luke did. "Where are we even meeting her at?" Lucas complained. What the hell was up with him. "Nova said Zaxby's so if you would chill for 5 seconds." Bo told him. It was a 15 minute drive from his house to town, and if Lucas was going to complain the whole time, he'd drop him off somewhere else. "Well how bout I take Nova out and you third wheel." Lucas snapped. "For one, that would never happen. Nova doesn't like new people. Second, her friend is going to be there too, so you won't be the third wheel." He answered.
As if Nova would like Luke. She barely liked him sometimes. "Is her friend hot?" Lucas asked. "You would worry about that, but she's alright. Just mean." He told Lucas. When him and Lucas pulled up to the restaurant, they saw the girls walking in. "So which one is the hot one?" Lucas asked. Holy shit. If Luke was this rude in front of Danni, he wouldn't make it through lunch. "The one with the short hair." Bo answered as they walked in. Nova looked over at him as he opened the door and smiled right away. She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him, and he kissed her cheek. "Nova this is Lucas. Lucas this is Nova." He said. "So you're Bo's shy yet incredibly gorgeous girl." Lucas said, shaking Nova's hand. "I believe so." She answered him as she looked at Bo. "Well between you and me, he wasn't lying." He told her. Danni walked over with Nova's drink then with a confused look on her face. "Who is he?" She asked Nova.
Lucas was speechless for the first time all day. He was looking at Danni like she had all the answers to life, and she was looking at him the same way. "I'm Lucas and please tell me you're Danni." Luke said. Nova moved closer to Bo as they looked at them. "I'm Danni,I ordered your food Nova. Wanna get out of here Lucas?" Danni said. "What about your lunch?" Nova asked. "Bo can have it or throw it out." She answered. Lucas grabbed her hand and they were gone."Well that was something." Nova said as she ate. She wouldn't let Bo throw Danni's plate away so he was eating too. "He's a sucker for hazel eyes. That's why he wanted to come." He answered. Bo was happy it was just them two and it was how he wanted it all along. "I've never seen Danni get so quiet when it came to guys. She's usually so confident." She said. "Lucas usually is too. It's a novelty when he's actually quiet." Bo said. Nova smiled at what he said before saying "So I'm your shy yet incredibly gorgeous girl?" Bo knew she'd bring that up. "He was calling you a mystery, and considering how you're more than just that to me, yes you're my shy yet incredibly gorgeous girl." Bo answered honestly. Nova smiled again, but he knew something else needed to be said. "Bo we don't know each other. I could be a crazy stalker for all you know." She said. "I'm not gonna pretend like I know everything about you. But I have heard things about you from Danni and Valerie which may or may not be true. You have a past and I do too. I don't want to graduate next June without knowing you." He said. Nova looked stunned at his response. "I'm not that interesting." She whispered. "I have to find that out for myself. We can get out of here and talk. I want to get to know you Nova." Bo said. This time she didn't answer. She just nodded.
They ate in silence for the rest of lunch, and when they were finished he grabbed her hand and they walked to his truck.
Lucas's POV:
Bo had to be fucking kidding me. I didn't want to go to lunch with him and his little girl toy. He came and got me late as hell last night and we didn't go to sleep until almost two this morning. "Bo lets go so we can get home!" I yelled through the bathroom door. He was wasting his damn time. She was only going to play him when he graduated at the end of the year. Bo walked out of the bathroom with an arrogant smile on his face. "Come on Luke." He said.
"You take so long to get ready." I complained to Bo as we were on our way. He looked over at me like he didn't know who I was. "Where are we even meeting her at?" I snapped. I wanted some damn answers. "Nova wanted Zaxby's so will you chill out for 5 seconds." Bo yelled. This was not okay. He wasn't going to be the one with the attitude when he didn't have to third wheel the whole time. "Well how bout I take Nova out and you third wheel?" I snapped again. Bo looked like he wanted to punch the shit out of me, and I probably would've let him. It had been a shitty week at my school, and I needed some form of release from it. "For one that's not going to happen. Nova doesn't like new people. And two, her friend is gonna be there so you aren't gonna third wheel." He told me. Her friend? Interesting. "Is her friend hot?" I asked. Maybe I could get laid while he fools around with Nova. "You would only care about that but she's alright. Just mean." Bo told me.
As we pulled into this town's ghetto Zaxby's, the girls were walking in. "Which ones the hot one?" I asked. Bo looked like he didn't even want to take me inside the restaurant now. "The one with the short hair." He answered. Not much to grab onto if things get heated but she should do.
As we walked in I was looking for her. Nova, I'm guessing, walked over to Bo. And after her friend ordered and I talked to Nova, I saw her. She's not hot. She's the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen.*****
Soooo I really hope y'all are enjoying the story.
