Vikram's POV

I left her room only after I made sure that bastard left too. I have to ask Raj to look into him. I caught hold of Deepti as she trying to enter some other room, most probably her own, as annoying as she was I needed to ask her.

"What do you think Lila wants or neess? Something that I can gift her as birthday gift" She looked up at me. Damn. She wasn't intimidated. Good.

"The only thing she needs is some love and support" She glared at me.

"No need to get sappy"

"Fine. She needs a new cellphone. The one she has is 5 years old and does not have Whatsapp"

Damn. She is not on Whatsapp.

"Okay. umm.. thanks"

I will give her a cellphone. A latest one. I think I should add flowers to it. Maybe bunches of red roses?

"If you are planning to give her flowers then decide anything but red roses. She hates them."

Damn. I should gift Deepti something.

"Ok. I will keep that in mind"

I went out of this house and entered mine. I realised that this was probably the first time in years that I left without my shirt and dresspants.

Things I have started to do for a girl.

I quickly dialed Raj but then cut the call. I didn't know that bastard's last name. I will have to find it out tomorrow.

My phone binged and I recieved a text.

It was from her.

You don't need to worry about him. He is my friend. Thank you for wishing me

I texted back

I will worry. I didn't like his hands on you. Friend or not.

You are too possesive Mr. Vikram. You need to walk back a few steps.

Miss. Lila I never step back. I just move forward. You need to sleep. It's late.

Goodnight

Goodnight

With that I kept my phone on nightstand.

**********

Lila's POV.

God he was bossing me around even from texts. But that kind of attracted me to him. The feminist part of me was disappointed but I didn't care at the moment.

I woke and the morning was uneventful. Apart from breakfast where people made a feeble attempt of trying to sing 'Happy Birthday' while I cut the cake.

Ajji was quiet the whole time which was a great gift by itself.

From the last few she was quiet a lot.

Then came afternoon, I was sitting in my room with a pillow over my head thinking about getting older.

I heard a knock and without permission Vikram sauntered inside.

"You should wait for someone permission to enter after knocking" I said getting up from my bed and walking towards him.

He gifted me with a smile and I forgot that last night's angry Vikram existed.

"Was I interrupting something Ms. Lila"

"Yes. My thinking process" He laughed to this which made me feel good.
