August quickly fell into September and Nova was easily getting adjusted to her schedule. Everything in her classes seemed to come easier this year. Everything except first block with Monty. Even though Nova had displayed her disinterest, Monty pursued her at a greater pace than ever before. He only seemed to act normal to her when Valerie and Ricky were around.
By the middle of September Nova was ready to beat the crap out of Monty. Even trying to be his friend had become exhausting. She wasn't interested in Monty anyways. She was into Andre Nash. Nova had third period English with him and when he wasn't copying people's work or sleeping he was a smart guy. He was arrogant, rude, and a liar, but Andre interested Nova unlike anyone in her past had. When he actually got working and he wasn't texting the girl he wanted for the current week, him and Nova did amazing work together.
