Ben POV:
I looked in the mirror and tightened my tie. Well, today was the day. My final goodbye to Jordyn. They said that she must have tripped and fell, but no way. Lexi did this somehow someway and I will find out.
"You ready Ben?" Josh asked peeking in the bathroom.
"No." I said staring into the mirror still.
"I will be right by your side." Josh said. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we headed out. We met the rest of the cast and Jordyns family outside their house. Her dad was nice enough to let us all get ready here. We filed into the cars and we headed off to the funeral house. When we arrived, the funeral house was full of people. Jordyn was such a bright light that she made an impact on so many people there. They had marked off 2 rows for her family and 3 rows for our cast. I looked around and saw a girl with blonde hair. Lexi.
"Josh I will be right back." I said. I walked over and Lexi turned around
"Oh hey Ben." Lexi smiled.
"Can I speak to you outside?" I asked. She followed me out to the parking lot. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"I'm here for Jordyn, she was my cast mate." Lexi said.
"Support her? You are the one who killed her! Murderer!" I screamed pushing her backwards away from me.
"Show me your proof." Lexi said.
"You killed the person who mattered most to me in my life. Because of you I will never get to see her again." I said through my teeth. I was so angry I couldn't think straight. "YOU TOOK AWAY MY HAPPINESS!" I screamed.
"You want the truth? Fine. After security asked me to leave I snuck back in. I waited for Jordyn in her dressing room which took forever because you two had to be all romantic on stage. She came back and I was going to hit her with a pole. But, when she saw me she screamed, spilled her water, and slipped and fell. So I didn't kill her, she did it to herself. I wish I had done it though, but anyways. That bitch deserved to die." Lexi explained. I couldn't control myself. I raised my fist back and punched Lexi square in the jaw, knocking her back into the grass. "What the hell!" Lexi screamed.
"Never mess with Jordyn." I said and I turned and walked away leaving Lexi on the ground. I sat down in my seat in the funeral started. It was open casket, I couldn't bear to look at her though. Finally, it was my turn to speak.
"You can do this." Josh said squeezing my hand before I went up.
"Jordyn Lively. There is so much to be said about this amazing girl. When I first met her, I never imagined she would become the love of my life. The first thing I noticed when I met her was her smile. Her cheeks would raise and her eyes would crinkle, and a little dimple would appear on the right side." I looked over at Jordyn, lying there. Lifeless. I quickly looked away and fought back my tears. "She was a joy to all of us in Newsies. We all thought of her as a little sister and would do anything to protect her. She wouldn't want to be treated differently because she was a girl. She was a hard worker who never gave up. She made me smile everyday and always made me laugh. She was....she was the best thing to happen to me." I said. I started to cry again. I couldn't stop it. Why did she have to go and leave me? Why? Josh jumped up from his seat and walked up and grabbed me in a hug, walking me back to our seats. I had more to say, but I couldn't say it. Parker and his dad spoke, Nick spoke, Timmy tried but he was crying too hard. It was time. They stood to close the casket and I caught my final glimpse of Jordyn. The last time I would ever see her again. It was our turn to walk up to the casket. I walked up and I kneeled down besides it.
"I love you Jordyn. Always and forever. You told me forever is never guaranteed, but this one is." I said. I kissed her cold forehead and went back to my seat. They closed the casket and took Jordyn out. My throat tightened again and I started to lose it crying again. Why? Why?
"Ben!" I heard Josh say. "Ben come on!" I could hear myself screaming and my face was soaking wet. I opened my eyes and sat up. "Are you ok?" Josh asked. I looked around, where am I? "You've been screaming and crying for the past 5 minutes in your sleep." Josh said.
"Josh where are we?" I asked.
"Um still in Hawaii." Josh replied.
"Is he ok?" I heard Parker ask. Oh my gosh! It was all a dream! I remember now! Emma and Parker flew into Hawaii last night!
"You guys will not believe the nightmare I just had." I said. "Wait, where's Jordyn?" I asked wiping my tears.
"Upstairs in her room with Mel and Emma." Josh said. Phew.
"Ok. So in my dream we were here and Jordyn broke up with me and went to New York and then she broke her ankle and this girl joined the tour named Lexi who was evil and I dated her for a day and then me and Jordyn got back together after like 2 months and Lexi kept threatening Jordyn and then Jordyn ended up in the hospital and she died and I woke up right after her funeral." I said.
"You killed my sister in your dream?" Parker laughed.
"Actually Lexi did." I corrected him.
"So that's why you were crying so hard." Josh said.
"It was hell. I have to go see Jordyn now." I said getting out of my bed.
"Ben its 2 in the morning!" Josh said.
"And you might be the one dead if you wake my sister up." Parker joked.
"Fine. But first thing in the morning I am going to visit her." I said. I crawled back into bed and turned the lights off. Jordyns not dead, she never broke up with me. It was all a dream. A terrible, terrible dream. Which means in the morning I will get to hold her close to me again. I rolled over in my bed and stared at the ceiling. I can't go to sleep, what if I have another dream where I lose Jordyn? I just wanna be with her right now. At least it was all a dream.
