Chapter 4

                                    

                                          
"Well I'm Darcy", said the girl who had just stood up. "I guess saying why we're here would be good. So I plan to make a singing channel, but that doesn't mean you guys can ask me to sing for you every damn day. So don't" She sat down. "C'mon, you don't have to be that way about it", said another guy with his blonde hair in a quiff style. He was wearing a shirt with green squares on it. "You know what? Why don't you introduce yourself next", she said as she sat down. The guy sighed. 
                          
"Okay", he began. "I'm Luke. I plan on making a music channel with my brother Calum & my friend Fletcher, who both happen to be at this table" He motioned to a boy with short, black hair & another lanky boy with blonde, shaggy hair. He sat down & smiled at Darcy. She turned her head away, & covered her face with her hair. 
                          
The boy with short black hair stood up. "I guess it's only right if I go next", he said. "I'm Calum! Like Luke said, I AM his brother, andI plan on making a music channel with him & Fletcher!" He sat down & looked at the boy with shaggy blonde hair, as if telling him to get up & introduce himself already. 
                          
"Okay...", he said as he got up. "I'm Fletcher. I'm making a music channel with the Novak brothers, Calum & Luke" He sat down immediately, like he was glad it was over with. 
                          
Then, a girl in a purple shirt with long, curly black hair & glasses stood up. "Alright, now that we got all the music dudes out of the way, I'm introducing myself", she said. "I'm Max. I want to make a channel about gaming, kinda like my boyfriend's. Sports games though, like FIFA. Don't screw with me, because I am not afraid to punch you all" "Ooh, who's your boyfriend?", said Darcy as she leaned in, clearly interested in gossip about boys. Max sighed, slightly annoyed. "His name is Tony, but he goes by Skitscape. He's over at the professional single gamers table. He plays Minecraft" She looked over to a dude with short, brown hair wearing a shirt that had a tiger in a suit on it. He smiled & waved at her. She smiled & waved back. She then sat down. 
                          
A boy with black hair & a red hair streak in the middle & glasses stood up. "Before everyone forgets about me, I'm Jake", he said. "I want to make a gaming channel. I want to play RPG games though, kind of like ManlyBadassHero if any of you guys have heard of him" He smiled & sat down. 
                          
I finally decided to take my turn & stand up. "Well hello, I'm Aspen", I said. "I want to make a channel that is a mix of singing & gaming" I smiled & I was about to sit down, but then I heard 'the question' "Are you a boy or girl?", asked Jake. "Sorry, I just really can't tell" I sighed. "Guys, I'm genderfluid", I began. "It means my gender varies over time, but I usually go by they pronouns" Jake just looked at me confused. "So are you a boy or a girl?", he asked. "IT MEANS THEY'RE IS NEITHER, YA COCKY BASTARD. LEAVE HER ALONE & RESPECT THEM", yelled Darcy. Everyone at my table looked at her. I smiled. "Thank you Darcy", I said. "You're welcome", she replied. "Come to me if you wanna talk" I finally sat down. 
                          
A girl with short, pink hair, cat ears, & a red jacket looked around the table. She took a deep breath & got up. "Okay... I'm Iris", she began. "I want to make a channel about music. Not doing music, but looking at music. Almost like a movie review channel for music. Like if Nostalgia Critic did music. Oh, & I want it to be about cats too. Lots of cats..." She sat down. 
                          
We all just sort of looked at each other. "Well, what now?", asked Calum. He couldn't have timed his question any more perfectly. After he asked that, Mrs. Genny walked up on stage. "Attention students!", she began. "I am now dismissing you from your tables to have 40 minutes to interact with students of other groups! Go make new friends!" She put her microphone back down & walked off stage. 
                          
Max went over to Tony & hugged him. He put his arm around her, & they walked over to the professional group gamers table. 
                          
Jake & Iris got up to go talk to PewDiePie. "What the hell makes you think you can talk to Pewds?", Jake asked in a snobby tone. "He's my roommate, dumbass. Also, call him Felix", Iris said. Jake stopped in his tracks as his jaw dropped. Iris just kept on walking over to Felix. 
                          
Luke, Calum, & Fletcher went to talk to the Game Grumps. They play games, but they also make music. Arin is in a band called Starbomb, & Danny is in a band called Ninja Sex Party. They were thinking that maybe they could get some tips. 
                          
It was only me & Darcy left at the bloomers table at this point. "You know, Luke is pretty hot", said Darcy. I chuckled. "You've only known him for twenty minutes", I said. "What if he turns out to be a jerk" "Eeeh", she said, thinking. "I don't think he will be. So, do you like anyone at our table Aspen?" "I like someone", I replied. "Just not at our table" "Ooo. Are you gonna go for the big leagues?", she asked. She leaned in, ready to keep my little crush a secret.
                          
 I thought for a moment about whether I should tell her or not. She already said if I wanted to talk I could go to her, so she already wants to be friends. When you think about it, everyone needs a girlfriend who will keep secrets like your crushes & whether you cheated on a test or not. I sighed & gave in.
                          
 "If you call Jacksepticeye the big leagues...", I finally said after a moment of thought. "Aw yeah! Aspen's shooting for the stars!", she said in excitement. "You should go talk to him" "What? No", I said reluctantly. "I don't have the guts for that..." "Well now you do", said Darcy as she put her arm around me. "And you're guts have a name too: me. Now let's go! Don't worry, He's my roommate" "Wha-?!", I exclaimed as she began forcing me to walk. I sighed & gave in. "Okay, let's go" Darcy smiled as we started walking over to the single gamers table.
