A/N: I just thought I'd introduce some new characters first >:3
                          
Okay, guys, I've decided to almost rewrite the first chapter. Because the amount of mistakes is almost funny. But don't laugh. You'll breath in a toxic gas and slowly die. No one wants that (I'm in my weird mood! :/)

Rythian (At the start of the story) is fourteen, Rata is twelve, and Sips is eleven. There's also another character called Lucie, people her age are ten. JUST TO HELP :3
                          
Katie Cunliffe: Rythian's age, has ginger hair and her favourite lesson is English. Has younger brother called Ben, and counts Rata as one because they're such close friends. (Kitkat259)
                          
Sydnie Chouery: Rata's age, has blonde hair and her favourite lesson is Geography. She has a younger sister, who's ten and in the year (Or grade, for all you Americans out there) below her. (SydnieChouery)
                          
Haley Gamonkey: Sips' age, has brown hair and her favourite subject is P.E.. She has an older sister, Melissa, who looks WAY too much like her. She's graduated from school. (Haleygamermonkey)
                          
Sami Smith: Rata's age, has really short, blonde hair, and her favourite subject is P.E.. Has a younger sister called Erin, an older sister called Jac and an older brother called Ben. (My sister :3)
                          
Lucie Charnock: Ten years old, has blonde hair, and her favourite subject is drama. Has a best friend, Erin, who she calls her sister because they're so alike. (My best friend :3)
                          
Ben Smith: Rythian's age, has brown hair, his favourite subject is I.T.. He has an older sister called Jac and a younger sister called Sami (A/N: You've met them both before :D My brother :3)
                          
Amber Cherish: Sips' age, has brown hair with light brown streaks, her favourite subject is cooking. Has a strange ruby necklace that glows when she has ideas, has an older brother called Joseph (0Game0Time0)
                          
Callie Pecat: Rata's age, has browny-ginger hair, her favourite subject is science and art. Got no siblings, a lone wolf *HOWLS* (Calliopecat)
                          
I think that's all of them.

It was a drowsy, horrible December morning, and all the kids trudged into school. They all seemed to fit in, except one child. He was only fourteen, but didn't act that way. He acted much older, he had responsibilities, to serve, to protect. His black cloak flipped and danced behind him, into his little sisters face. A child walked up to him mischievously, shouting 'Hey, little magic boy!'

"I said, hey little magic boy!" Sjin called behind me. "Are you deaf?"
                          
Duncan looked back, worried, and I smiled. "Maybe, Sjin."
                          
He shut up and scowled at me, as Duncan fell back.
