---Safiya POV---
--- 2 weeks later ---
It has officially been 3 weeks sense I last saw Darius and my foot is feeling much better. It's still hurts A LOT. But I can actually walk on it now... Just not for long periods of time. I am currently walking with Abayomi and Accenath to the palace. We took a carriage a good deal of the way but we found out the driver's wife was going into labor and was afraid he would miss his child's birth so we let him leave for his wife instead and decided to walk the rest of the way. I still have a lot of difficulty standing up with my leg but walking is pretty doable. As we were walking I saw some of Darius' guards walk around the block; and recognized a few of them; from the first time I was captured. Recognition filled the guard's face as he saw and pointed to me. Next thing I know, the guards have surrounded me; ordering me to surrender. One of the guards grab me roughly and start dragging me towards the palace. "Hey wait! She's injured! Be more careful with her!" Abayomi shouted. The guard holding my arm froze; as a look of regret filled his face. Then without much delay he picked me up and started waking towards the palace once again.
He's mad at me. I just know it. I disappeared for weeks without a word. He must be furious. Not that I care. He doesn't own me. I'm not a possession. I have the freedom to live as I wish. Whether that involves him or not. I took a deep breath as the gates to the palace opened and I was being brought in. The guard dropped me back on my feet and brought me into the throne room. I already knew full well who was in there. Who was pissed in there. The doors opened and Darius immediately made eye contact with me; and then quickly looked away clearly furious. One of the guard already in there grabbed me and threw me to the ground harshly. "On your knees before the pharaoh." I didn't whimper from the immense pain that filled my leg. And I readjusted my position and sat normally on the ground. I would need help getting up now. The guard looked horrified. He was about to hit me when Darius spoke. "Leave!" The guard froze and then nodded. "Yes your highness."
Darius didn't speak to me. He didn't look at me either... In fact he was sitting completely still... Glaring at the wall. "I can exp-" "Shut up!" He said interrupting me. I jolted from the shock. "If you would jus-" "I told you to stop talking!" He yelled... Looking me straight in the eyes. Then he narrowed his glare at me before looking away once again and muttering. "Forget it! Just leave! Now!" As much as I was appalled at the fact he wasn't letting me explain... I wanted to leave... Only problem was I couldn't because of my leg. When noticing I hadn't left, he shot his glance back to me. "I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE!" I clenched my fist. "I CAN'T!" This only seemed to make him madder. He jumped out of his throne. "I GAVE YOU AN ORDER!" I clenched my teeth. "AND I OBVIOUSLY CAN'T DO IT YOU DIMWIT!" Darius was getting more and more furious... That much was obvious. But at the same time... So was I. "You are breaking a dozen laws here." He said glaring at me. "That's not the only thing I've broken! If you had any sense! YOU WOULD KNOW MY LEG IS BROKEN!" The anger dissipated from his face. "What?" This just made me madder. "After I left to break up with my ex boyfriend for you, I got kidnapped by some vengeful goons who were after you! And broke my leg trying to escape!"
Darius looked honestly, very surprised. "Oh... So uh... You hadn't ran away?" I found myself glaring at him. "No! obviously not!" He scratched his head in confusion. "Well why didn't you just say so from the start?" I banged my first on the ground loudly. "BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T LET ME! Seriously! Call your stupid guards and have them carry me out of here. I am sick of looking at your face!" He put his hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay I get it!" After that he called in the guards and had them escort me to my room... By carrying me of course. Once they brought me back to my room, sitting me on the bed, the guards left me in peace. Not long after Dalila came in. "I just heard from the guards... So you were kidnapped?" I nodded. "How awful... How did you escape...?" I sighed. "Luckily Abayomi found me about a week later and got me out... But I was very, very injured, so he suggested I stay at his house for a week until my leg was at least a bit better. He had also fallen in love with some else too... So it worked out and guess who it was?" Dalila gave me a weird look before asking. "Who?" I smiled. "Accenath." She went balled eyed. "Accenath? Wait like... The maid here?" I nodded while smiling. "That's crazy! How awesome."
"So how did-" Dalila was interrupted, when Darius walked in. "Hey Safiya are you still mad at me?" Dalila turned around to look at him; while I bluntly said. "Get out!" He grimaced at me. "So I take it that's a yes." He said sarcastically. "GET OUT DARIUS!" He sighed and then walked out like I had asked. An awkward silence filled the room. Until Dalila broke it by speaking up. "So how long are you going to give my brother the silent treatment?" I quirked a smile. "Until he's on his knees apologizing!" Dalila laughed. "Well that will never happen!" Dalila some how got out while laughing. I smiled. "Oh I'm sure it won't... So he better figure out how to do it soon!"
