Aphmau's pov

Garroth had yelled and I screamed " Stop it let us go!" I cried and Garroth hugged my and I cried into his chest. Zane scoffed and I head the jail cell door open with a creak that echoed through the dimly lit room.

I felt my shoulder being tugged and Garroth yelled "No! Let her go!" Garroth was pulling me back but Zane was too strong. I dug my nails into Garroth's armor and yelled "No Garroth!" Zane was pulling me away from Garroth's warm arms.

"Let go!" Garroth hugged me but he was slipping. I looked and saw the branches had thorns and they were digging into Garroth's legs. His face looked pained but he wouldn't let me go.

Garroth's pov

Zane was trying to pull Aphmau away from me and I refused to let her go. Then I felt a pain in my legs. I grimaced at the pain but my grip on Aphmau didn't loosen. I looked down and saw thorns digging into my leg.

Blood was running down the branches and the thorns dug deeper. "Garroth." Aphmau looked at me eyes full of regret. "No!? Aphmau don't!" Her eyes filled with tears and her grip was loosening.

"Aphmau no!" She slipped from my grip and fell into Zane's arms. I fell to the ground and I felt the thorns dig deeper into my flesh. 'At this rate I won't be able to walk and I will never be able to save Aphmau."

Laurence' pov

"Where are they?" I was frustrated and I clenched my fist. The sun started to set and Dale walked up to me and said "Laurence it's getting dark we need to head back." I didn't want to agree but it was getting dark.

I nodded and we gathered our stuff. "Oh, Aphmau were are you?" I looked up at the stars and saw how they sparkled. The stars reminded me of Aphmau's eyes and smile. I smiled but knew she was in danger.

"Why did Zane only take the two of them?" I was confused I was will Garroth so why did he only take him? I sighed and helped grab our stuff. We walked back to Phoenix Drop and I waited, I waited for Aphmau to return.
