Babies, Kisses and the ER

                                    

                                          
I woke up the next morning not in my bed and not in my house. I was in a double bed that wasn't my own so I got up out of the bed and looked around the room. My head was pounding and the taste of beer and tequila still fresh in my mouth and I didn't remember anything from last night. 
                          
As I walked around the room I saw a picture of Catherine Avery and also a picture of Jackson and April and that's when I realised where I was. I heard some noises coming from the other side of the door so I walked out from the bedroom into the living area. 
                          
"Jackson? Why am I here? What happened last night?" I say at a whisper whilst I shield the light from my eyes. 
                          
"Well, you got very drunk, cried on my shoulder and then you asked me to take you home. I went to take you to Meredith's but the house was locked up and I think Maggie went to sleep so I bought you back here and set you to sleep in my bed and then I slept on the couch. And now I am making breakfast for you as it is a good hangover cure, so sit down here and eat this." He set a plate of food on the table and I sat down and started to eat it. 
                          
"Hey what time is it right now Jackson?" I ask in between mouth fulls.
                          
"It is 8:45 right now." He says as he sits down next to me with a cup of coffee.
                          
"Crap I need to get to the hospital my shift starts in 15 minutes and I need to be there for Jo as well." I wipe my mouth with a napkin as I stand up and try to find my shoes and purse. 
"Damn Joe took my keys last night didn't he. Crap um... Can you give me a lift please?" I gave him my best puppy dog eyes and pouty face to make him give in. 
                          
"Yeah sure I can do that. I mean who could say no to that face." 
                          
"Thank you, thank you, thank you." I kissed him on the cheek as I put my jacket on and as I looked at him I saw a little blush run across his cheeks, and it made my day a little bit brighter. 
                          
I ran up to OBGYN as soon as Jackson dropped me off at the hospital to go and meet Jo for her ultrasound. I saw her as I was pulling on my lab coat as I had to rush getting my scrubs on. 
                          
"Jo wait up." I called after her just as she was about to walk into the room. 
"Yo Jo are you deaf I'm here!!" I grabbed the door just as it was about to shut and I walked into the room just as Jo was getting onto the table. 
                          
"Jesus Lilly I thought you weren't going to show I was panicking I almost didn't come in here!"
                          
"I said I would be here and I am okay. Don't panic you are just going to see yours and Alex's baby and it is going to be amazing okay?" I give her the most genuine smile and I grabbed her hand squeezing it tight just to let her know I will help and I am not going anywhere. 
                          
We watched as the OBGYN looked at Jo and checked her out. She used the highest quality machine to find the heart beat of the baby and get an image of it as well. When the picture came up Jo's face lit up and her smile was so big it almost didn't fit on her face. 
                          
"Hey look Jo there is your little baby!!" I said I was so excited about it and I couldn't wait to have another little person in the house. 
                          
"Can I get the image to take away?" Jo asked still with a massive smile on her face. 
                          
"Of course. Here you go." The OB handed her the picture of her little baby and walked out of the room leaving just us in there. 
                          
"You have to tell Alex now you do realise right?" I said as Jo stared long and hard at her scan. 
                          
"I know I just don't know how he will react."
                          
"It's Alex he will be so happy." I looked down at her staring at the scan. "Do you want me to page him up here?"
I just got a slight nod and I paged him up to the room. "I am going to leave so it doesn't look like you asked someone else here instead of him okay?"
