Chapter 42: Time to Melt the Frozen Heart

                                    

                                          
"Katherine? Are you ready?", Ryan walked into her room. His jaw dropped when he saw the room in a mess. 
                          
Clothes were all over the floor, shoes were on the bed and accessories were everywhere! He walked into the room cautiously trying not to break anything. Out of the blue Katherine appeared. This freaked Ryan out and he was about to fall when Katherine managed to catch him. 
                          
"Wow! You're so heavy!", Katherine pulled him up.
                          
"You freaked me out! Why is your room in a mess?", he asked her. 
                          
"I don't know what to where for the party today!", Katherine sat on her bed disappointedly.
                          
"You got so many dresses. Just choose one and wear it.", Ryan suggested. 
                          
" I can't do that Ryan because mum already hates my looks. She hate my crazy hair colour and hairstyle. She hates my ears and she hates my dressing sense. I want to dress beautifully and surprise her.", Katherine explained to Ryan. 
                          
"Well then you seriously might need my help!"

"Are you sure I'm looking fine?", Katherine asked Ryan as she stood in front of the dressing table. 
                          
"You look like an angel! Your mum will love it!".
                          
Katherine was wearing a blue lace sequin sleeveless long dress with front cut out. Along with that she wore a pair of blue square toe block heel pumps that was about 2.5 inches long. Her hair was tied into a messy low side bum with soft side swept bangs. 

                          
"I just hope mum loves it! Let's go were getting late!", Katherine began to walk out of the room. 
                          
"I'll go and check on my parents. Meanwhile you just go down and wait next to the car.", Ryan said. 
                          
Katherine picked her phone up and began to walk down and out of the house. 
                          
"Do I look the same like I was 5 years ago?", Katherine began to mumbled to herself. 
                          
At that point one of her university friends called her.
                          
"Katherine! I just called to tell you a good news!", she spoke. 
                          
"Hey Summer! What is the good news?", Katherine asked her. 
                          
"Well, I'm finally dating Ronald! He proposed me in front of the entire stadium! I finally found a boyfriend!", she began to jump for joy. 
                          
"Seriously! That's the good news! Boyfriends are just a waste of time and they just love to break your heart!", Katherine rebutted back. 
                          
"Hello! Not all guys are like that! Maybe you're not as lucky as I am!", Summer replied her back. 
                          
"Oh really! I think I'm already very lucky to remain single for the past 5 years!".
                          
"By the way I was stalking you on Instagram just now. You looked totally beautiful 5 years ago and your ex is very good looking!", Summer told her enthusiastically. 
                          
"Are you that free? Why don't you go on looking for a job?", Katherine questioned her. 
                          
"I'll chat with you later Katherine. Mum's calling me! Bye!", she immediately disconnected the phone. 
                          
"Why didn't I deleted all my pictures on Instagram? I think I'll do that now!", Katherine spoke to herself. 
                          
At that point Ryan and his parents appeared. They were mesmerised by Katherine's look. 
                          
"Katherine dear, you look fabulous!", Ryan's mum spoke. 
                          
"Thank you. I think we're getting late. Let's go!", Katherine told them as she got into the car.
