Author's note: Personally I don't think this is my strongest chapter but I hope you guys like it. Also slight blood warning.

(4 Years Ago, Amelia's POV)
"As my memory rests, but never forgets what I lost"

"Edward, just make sure that none of you get hurt."I say over the phone as he chuckles. I was preparing for my first day as an intern at Gotham General, when Edward decided to call about his boys night out. I was used to Edward showing up unexpectedly, usually with a story or with an injury. But he never called, much less for a casual conversation.

"I promise we won't get into anything completely dangerous, Amy. However no promises on getting a couple of bruises. We'll see once Dent and Cobblepot show up."Edward says

"That sounds like a terrible idea."I say with a giggle

"It is but sometimes bad ideas can be exciting, fun and who knows maybe even a good idea."

"Seriously though, why are you calling me? I feel like you have better things to do, like write riddles or something."I say as Edward goes quiet for a moment

"Well since your sister is going off to college in a few days, I was just wondering if our Good Doctor was feeling a bit lonely."Edward says slowly

"I haven't even started my internship so technically not a doctor yet."

"I'm still calling you the Good Doctor. Meanwhile the Crazy Doctor and Croc are currently drinking my scotch like it's water. Jonathan, Waylon, that's my good stash! Don't hog it all before everyone else gets here! Anyways since you do have work in the morning and I have to rally these two, I'll talk to you later. Good night, Amy."Edward says, sighing

"Night Eddie, don't accidentally-or purposely- put any of them in your puzzle rooms."I say jokingly and he groans sarcastically

"That's suppose to be the fun part! But alright, I'll leave it for when they're sober."Edward says, hanging up. I shake my head, get up and walk to bed, tired and excited for tomorrow. Bruce was coming over tomorrow to celebrate the internship that he helped me secure; we hadn't seen each other in a bit so it'd be a nice chance to catch up. Especially since I just found out that he was Batman very unceremoniously. Honestly it made me wonder why it's taking all of the rogues forever to find out who he is. It also appears that I had to be working with Thomas Elliot at some point. I doubt that's gonna be any fun being around him....

I wake up to a bang on the bedroom window, followed by multiple voices and a muffled scream. I look out to see Edward, Harvey and Oswald carrying a bloody Jonathan in their arms. His entire torso was torn up, cuts all over the place. His arms were the most bloody, though none of his veins seem to be torn. His left arm did appear to be broken however, since he was barely moving it. His face seemed to have small cuts all over it, most prominently near his eyes which were closed tightly at the moment. His chest was extremely bloody, his shirt in ruins and torn apart. I open the window in shock as the trio steps through it, more panicked than I've ever seen them. Jonathan looked semi-conscious, from the soft groans that I could hear and the small movement of his chest.

"What happened?"I ask as they lay Jonathan on my bed as carefully as they could so I could examine him. Oswald goes off to get my supplies from the living room while Harvey and Edward watch me intently as I make sure John doesn't have any cracked ribs or bones, which thankfully he doesn't.
