TAIGA'S POV
I lay in normal clothes under my favourite tree from my child hood, catching the blossom petals as they fell. Blood started to surround me, and I knew I was dying if not dead already, but it was peaceful.
"If you don't pick soon enough, you'll be stuck in the middle forever." Ryouko said.
"The middle?" I asked confused as I sat up.
"All alone, wandering around with nobody to talk to. You won't find peace."
"So I can either find peace, no more pain, no nothing or i can go back to the land of the living?"
"Yes." Kaito said from behind me.
"Well if both of you are here, does that mean you're stuck?"
"You thought of us before you died, so we're here to help you decide." Ryouko said kneeling next to me. She pulled her hair out of her flower hair tie and put my hair up in a pony tail with it. She stood up and held her hand out.
I stood up and looked at kaito. "Forever starts now." I said smiling. I turned to face Ryouko and went to take her hand.
"Guess it's not your time." She said taking a step back.
"Mum? Dad? Asaki?" I asked confused.
Ryouko walked over to her husband and our parents.
"Don't leave!" I shouted hitting the invisible wall keeping me from them.
Ryouko smiled as they all disappeared.
I turned around and kaito still stood there.
"I'll make sure you cross okay."
"I'll don't want to." I said sadly.
He opened his arms to me so I ran into them.
"I'll miss you." I said crying.
"I'll always be with you. You know that right."
"Yeah." I said sadly.
He embraced me and kissed the top of my head.
"I'll see you soon taiga."
I shook my head as he started to disappear.
"No! Please!" I begged.
"I love you."
There was a bright light so I covered my face.
SOJI'S POV
"I need needles and those viles!" I shouted as miza rushed around handing me things I asked for. I injected taiga with the same thing I injected Aoi with nd then some rc cells. I stood back and watched the heart monitor.
"Where is she!" Ayato screamed running into the room. He saw her body and dropped next to her. "No." He said sadly. He grabbed her hand. He saw something around her neck and smiled when he realised it was the gift he bought her.
"Taiga!" Yasuna said holding Yuki.
"Boss' friend." Naki said coming upstairs.
"Everyone that isn't soji out!" Miza shouted.
Ayato stood up and walked out.
"It's not working." I said sadly.
"I provoked him! I got her killed!" I screamed punching through the door.
"Soji stop!" She shouted. She held me and shook her head.
"You're not to blame. She couldn't handle it anymore." She moved away and shook her head.
"If you love her as much as I think you do, get working on how to save Hinami."
"Why?"
"She was captured by the ccg. She's at the ghoul detention centre."
"Where's taiga!" Someone shouted.
Miza walked out angrily as I sat by her dead body.
I picked up some more syringes and started injecting her right left and centre to try and revive her.
"Raiden stop!" Touka screamed. I looked down at myself covered in Taiga's blood. I walked out and saw nishiki, Itori, Touka, Raiden, Ayato, yasuna, torso, Naki and Yuki all stood downstairs sadly.
"She's gone." I said shaking my head. "I tried everything."
"Try again!" Ayato shouted.
"I just did. It's not working."
"She brought you back from the dead!" Yasuna shouted.
"I wasn't dead..."
I turned around and walked back into the room. I could hear everybody crying.
"She's dead." The boy asked holding her hand.
"Yeah." I said sitting down.
TAIGA'S POV
The light died down and I found myself in anteiku holding a tray. I dropped it and looked around.
"Are you okay?" Someone asked bending down.
I screamed and flinched, bumping into someone else, causing them to drop what they were holding, then falling over them.
Kaneki walked over smiling and held his hand out. I wearily took his hand. He pulled me up and helped touka up.
"Are you okay?" He asked looking at me confused.
"Yeah." I said scratching my head. "Were in anteiku?" I said confused.
"Yeah..."
"You have black hair..."
"Yeah?" He sad smiling. I looked at my hair in shock. "I have flame hair?"
"That's your natural hair right?"
"Yes." I said dropping the strand I was staring at.
"Taiga!" Someone shouted running down the stairs.
"Hinami?" I said confused. "You shrunk."
"Is she okay?" Hinami stared at kaneki.
"I don't know?" Kaneki said confused.
"Im gonna go upstairs and lie down for a second." I said running upstairs.
Kaito stood in the corner of the room.
"Take my hand."
"Why?" I said confused.
"Just trust me."
I walked towards him and took his hand.
I was next to ayato. He stood up and grabbed me by my throat.
"You don't get to reject me like that."
The buisness men stood up. "Hey put her down!" They shouted.
He walked towards a window with me still in his hands. Using his long legs he kicked the window, shattering the glass. I began kicking my legs grabbing his arm. He just held me outside the window, dangling me like bait over 20 stories.
"Such a short girl. Shorter then touka and maybe a centimetre taller then Hinami. A fifteen year old girl It's pathetic." I grabbed his arm and squoze it tightly.
"Let go" I said. He didn't let go so I reached for a shard of glass, from where the window was shattered, cutting my hand to shreds, I still clung to it and stabbed ayato in the arm. He instantly dropped me so I fell, but I clung to the floor. I pulled myself up and pulled the glass out of his arm. I threw it on the ground and hugged him.
"What the hell are you doing?" he asked confused.
"I miss you being like this." I said smiling.
I opened my eyes and kaito held out his hand again. I took his hand and found myself sitting in a class room.
"I know what you are." Someone whispered. I turned my head and saw raiden.
I smiled and jumped up out of my seat jumping over to him hugging him.
It knocked his desk over and everyone was either in shock or laughing.
"Whoa." He said in shock.
"I miss you." I said hugging him.
I stood up and pulled his desk, with him still sat at it, and put it back.
He smiled and looked at me weirdly.
"You're so interesting."
"And busy let's go." Kaito said from behind me.
I smiled amd took his hand.
I was now in the water. My foot was stuck to the van dragging me down. I looked up and kaito was in front of me.
"I need to show you the good and the bad before you make a decision." He took my hand again and I was chained up, with ayato and touka chained up in front of me.
"No." I whispered. I looked around and kaito stood in the dark corner.
"I don't want to watch this kaito!" I screamed.
I turned around and akio dropped kaito on the ground.
"No!" I cried trying to break free.
"Taiga." Kaito cried.
"Hang on."
"He's going to die taiga?" Akio said smiling. "There's nothing you can do." He stabbed kaito with his kagune and my heart dropped.
"No!" I screamed.
"Your feelings get in the way!" Akio shouted. "Become like kaneki, become strong!"
"I don't want to." I cried.
"You have to." Ayato said.
I broke out of the chains and got down next to kaito.
"You have to be strong if you go back. Your mind snapped, he broke you. You're gonna be really bad, but there's people there for you."
"Why did you show me all of this?" I asked crying.
"You have to know that what you're going back to could be worse then this."
"How could it be worse then you dying?"
"You'll be more upset."
He held his hand up. I looked up at Akio, Touka and Ayato and slowly reached for his hand.
"I'm sorry you died for me." I said crying, holding my hand in mid-air.
"Don't be silly, now go back and live your life." He held my hand. I looked down at him and everything went dark.
I opened my eyes and sat up.
"Taiga." Someone whispered.
"Oh my God." I said covering my mouth.
