Will's POV

"But I'm your idiot." I winked at Tessa.

She just laughed, and walked out the front door of my house. I absentmindedly smiled, as I watched her get into her aunts car. God, she was beautiful. Could she tell that I loved her? It must have been obvious after tonight. I watched as she drove away, but I still stood there in the doorway, still thinking Tessa.

"Will?" A voice said from behind me.

I snapped out of my trance, and turned around. There stood my dad. His blonde hair was neat, and his blue eyes were bright.

"You've been standing in that doorway for five minutes now." He said.

"Oh." I blushed, and quickly shut the door.

"You really love that girl, don't you?" He said amusedly.

I blushed, and looked away from him. "Where's Jace and Cecy?"

"Downstairs." My dad replied.

I moved past him to the stairs, and he caught at my wrist. I looked at him, and he was smiling.

"I'll bet she loves you, too." He said.

He then leg go of my wrist, and walked away. As I walked downstairs, I thought his words. Could Tessa love me? She seemed like she liked Clary's brother, Jonathan. They were always laughing together, and talking to each other. I shook it off, as I walked downstairs, and saw Jace and Cecily sitting on a couch. I took a seat on one, too.

"I'm telling you for the last time, Jace, I didn't kiss Gabriel." Cecily exclaimed.

"Sure you didn't." Jace smirked.

Cecily huffed, and then her blue eyes, that were exactly like mine, looked at me.

"What was up with you and Tessa today?" Cecily smirked.

I blushed a bit. "Nothing."

"I don't call making out in the pool nothing." She rolled her eyes.

"Dude, if you like her, then just tell her." Jace said.

"I never said I liked her." I said defensively.

"Don't even try that." Jace smirked. "We all know you love her."

"Wait, you love her?!" Cecily exclaimed, and stood up.

I sighed in defeat. "Yes."

Cecily jumped up and down. "Oh my gosh! You have to tell her!"

"I can't. She likes Clary's brother." I said.

Cecily stopped jumping. "She might if you don't tell her soon."

"I don't date though." I told them.

"Then what do you expect to happen?" Cecily raised an eyebrow.

I sighed. "I don't know. All I know, is that I get so jealous when she talks to Jonathan."

"You just need to tell her." Jace said.

I groaned. "I don't know."

"Well, you should. Anyways, I'm going to sleep. Goodnight." Cecily chirped, and she walked upstairs.

"How many times did you kiss Tessa today?" Jace smirked.

"Three times, I think." I said.

He smirked. "You've got it so bad for her."

"Is it that obvious?" I asked.

"Today it was." He replied. "Clary's convinced that you like her."

"Do you think she likes me?" I asked.

"Yeah." Jace said. "Just tell her."

"But then she'll expect me to date her, and you know that I don't date." I sighed.

"Well, then you'll have to get over her, and I can tell that you won't be able to." He said.

"Ugh, love is so stupid." I muttered.

Jace laughed. "Not always. I used to think that, but then Clary came along."

"Did Cecy actually kiss Lightworm?" I changed the subject.

Jace smirked. "Yeah, though she won't admit it."

I made a face. "Disgusting."

He chuckled. "I know right. Anyways, I'm going to sleep. Goodnight."

"Night." I said, and then Jace left.

I sat there for a few more minutes. Did Tessa like me back? She had said that used to, but not anymore. Could she have feelings for me again? She did seem to blush around me a lot. Not to mention what she did at the dinner table, today. God, she was a tease. Should I tell her how I feel? What if she didn't return my feelings, and I'd be faced rejection? Ugh, this was so confusing.

I got up from the couch, and walked upstairs. I was about to go to my room, when there was a knock on the front door. Everyone else was asleep, and I was the only one awake to answer it. Who could it be? I thought. I opened the door, to see Tessa. She was still wearing her black dress. Her brown hair was falling gracefully down her shoulders, and her grey eyes were luminous. She took my breath away.

"Tessa?" I said with surprise.

"Hi, I forgot my phone here." She said.

I let her in, and she stepped inside. I closed the door, and then we were silent.

"Where did you leave it?" I asked.

"In the backyard, I think." Tessa said.

I started to walk to the back door, and she followed me. I opened the back door, and we both stepped outside. The night was a cool one, and I shivered a bit. Tessa looked around, and spotted her white iPhone on the table. She walked over and grabbed it. I looked at the pool, and suddenly felt the feeling of Tessa's lips on mine again. Stop it, Will, I thought.

Should I tell her right now? I thought. No, I can't. Ugh, but I want to! Just man up and do it Will.

"Tessa, I..." I trailed off.

"Yes?" She said.

I can't do it, I thought.

I sighed. "I thought you looked really nice, tonight."

She blushed. "Thanks. You didn't look so bad yourself."

I smirked. "I know."

Tessa rolled her eyes. "You're so arrogant."

"Thirty-five." I said amusedly. "And, it's one of the amazing things about me."

She laughed. "Yeah, sure."

We both then walked back inside, to the front door. We then awkwardly stood by the door, waiting for one another to say something. Should I kiss her? I thought rapidly, I really want to.

"Um, bye." Tessa said awkwardly.

She moved to open the door.

"Wait." I said.

I then took a step forward, and kissed her. She made a surprised sound, but kissed me back. I pulled her close to me, and her hands went around my neck. I kissed her harder, and she moaned. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. I pinned Tessa up against the door, and started to kiss her neck.

"Will." She moaned.

I gave her a hickey, and then went back to kissing her. After thirty seconds more, she pulled away from me.

"Why do you keep kissing me?" She breathed.

"I-I don't know." I stuttered.

Tessa only sighed, and opened the door, turned smiled at me slightly.

"See you tomorrow." She said.

"Bye." I said.

I closed the door behind her, and groaned. I had missed another chance at telling her.
