*Let's pretend this awesome media has to do with the chaos that will happen in this chapter, ok? >.<
Mira rushed us through dinner, and the few rides after, probably wanting to get to the best part of the night. The only eventful things during dinner were that Erza prevented a food fight, Gray spilled soup all over himself, all the girls went to the bathroom at the same exact time, and Gajeel tried to skip on the bill. Very funny of him.
We get to my house later than I thought. It's almost ten, but then again we did walk. Cana, who wore heels, was ready to rip my head off, until we came into view of my house. She drops her shoes, which she was carrying, and Lucy picks them up.
"OH THANK THE SUCCULENT GODS," she groans, hobbling up the front steps. "I AM GOING TO SOAK MY FEET IN YOUR JACUZZI TUB AND NO ONE WILL DISTURB ME." I laugh, and unlock the door for her. Cana flies through the door and up the stairs. Everyone follows after, but there are two people who didn't move.
Levy grips Gajeel's arm, "did you know Natsu lives in a house this big?"
Gajeel clears his throat, "n-no. Hey, BAKA! Why didn't you tell any of us you lived in this huge place?" He calls out to me. I drag them inside while responding.
"If you couldn't tell, everyone else knew, except for Juvia, but I'd imagine she'd follow Gray off a cliff. I don't really tell people about my home life..." I finish, just as Lucy stands behind me. She lightly touches my arm, before moving past me and grabbing Levy.
"Isn't it cool?" Lucy exclaims, trying to get some sense into Levy's little body.
Deliriously, Levy replies, "I'm sure yours is bigger~"
"That's not the point!" Lucy says. "C'mon, let's join Cana in the temporary spa. I'm sure your feet are sore, too." Lucy leads Levy up the stairs and over to the bathroom. I thump Gajeel on the back.
"Hey man, you're gonna catch flies," I laugh. Gajeel turns to look at me. His mouth is closed, but I'm sure he was staring in awe at my place.
"Let's just go find the others..." he mumbles, pushing me to lead him. I chuckle, and walk down into the basement, where I'm sure Mira brought everyone. The basement is a huge area, the total square feet almost matching that of the ground floor level. It's a well lit, open space with two couches, one soft chair, a beanbag chair, a billion throw pillows, a giant TV, and a shelf filled with blankets and towels. There's one bathroom down here, but that's not a problem. Gajeel takes a seat on the armrest of one of the couches.
Mira stands up from the giant chair where she was sitting, "I'm going to go check on the other girls. Juvia." The blue haired girl stands. I'm surprised she obeyed so quickly, but then again, it is Mira we're talking about. The two remaining girls exit the basement, leaving just the guys.
Gajeel gives me a look. "Don't expect us to do some bonding activity thing." The seriousness of his voice makes me laugh.
"Don't worry, I'm sure Mira will force us to do something later," I reply. Gajeel rolls his eyes and groans.
"Hey, is that your game collection?" Laxus pulls my attention to the giant trophy case in the corner that I thought was covered by a piece of purple velvet. "Dude, that's impressive." The three guys stand up to check out the case filled with hundreds of video game disks for multiple different kinds of consoles. There are even some character figurines in there.
"Holy shit, can we open this thing?" Gajeel asks, eyeing one game in particular. One thing leads to the next, and the four of us are crammed on the couch, playing video game after video game. With all of us so focused on the screen, we don't notice the time passing by. Only until we hear a loud splash, then crash upstairs do we look up.
