~Your P.O.V~
Everything was so quiet.
No sounds came from within the Sakamaki's mansion as I lay here, wide awake on my bed with bright rays of sunshine pouring in from the window. Sleeping during the day and staying awake through out the night isn't something that used to bother me in the past. But for some reason, lately it's felt as if I'm some sort of insomniac.
I slowly rose from my bed in my nightgown and trudged out the door to my room and entered the hallway. Walking for a bit might clear my mind and help me sleep better. But that's probably asking for too much. It's impossible to get Kanato off my mind.
A sigh escaped my lips. I don't know when I fell for him but I did and now I'm beginning to regret it more so than ever before. He's taking up my every waking thought and invading my dreams. I can't escape the purple haired vampire whether I'm awake or asleep.
Slowly, I made my way towards one of the Sakamaki's mansions highest balconies. I walked through the doors without really caring as I came across an interesting sight.
Kanato himself sitting on the railing, looking up to the sky as he softly sings Scarborough Fair. It was just barely audible and yet I loved every word that left his lips. It was like a melody I'd never heard before and I was entranced by it.
"What are you doing here?" Kanato's cold voice rang out as he suddenly stopped singing.
I quickly focused my attention on him and gave a small smile. "I couldn't sleep."
Kanato's purple eyes stared at me for a moment before sighing. "Teddy says you're allowed to stay with us so I guess you can stay." He mumbled while glancing down to the stuffed teddy bear wrapped in his arms and resting on his lap.
"Ah thank you." I said softly while approaching him and leaning against the railing next to where he sits. "Could you not sleep either Kanato-kun?"
"Shut up." He hissed in response. "Your voice is annoying."
I just nodded my head while smiling and looking out to the vast forest around the Sakamami's estate. I'm truly an idiot. Even though he's so harsh, I love hearing him talk to me.
I must be losing my mind.
Kanato and I stayed out here for what felt like a few hours in complete and utter silence before he suddenly moved to stand on the railing. His cold eyes stared at my profile as I continued to look out to the wilderness. "Why are you here anyway?" He asked softly.
"I couldn't sleep." I repeated from before while glancing up to meet his stare.
"Hm." He hummed. "How about we play a game then?" Kanato suddenly offered.
His innocent yet creepy smile made my heart falter in it's beats ever so slightly. He's never asked to play a game before so I wonder what game he could possibly be talking about...
With a smile, I looked back to the forest. "What game do you have in mind Kanato-kun?"
Kanato's laugh caught me off guard as he hopped down off the railing to stand next to me. My body froze almost instantly as he bent down slightly to get close to my ear. "It's a game in which we see how much you like me." He giggled.
My eyes widened at that. "H-How'd you know I like you?" I asked with a slight stutter.
"How'd I know?" He mused with a wicked grin. "Do you take me for an idiot?" He then asked with a completely straight face as he moved to stand a bit away from me.
"I don't think you're an idiot." I quickly responded while turning to face him, not wanting to anger him at this ungodly hour.
"Then don't ask something so stupid." Kanato scoffed. "But you're stupid as well so of course you would ask something stupid."
Kanato kept a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he slowly walked towards me. I'm suddenly beginning to regret not changing out of my nightgown before coming out here...
The purple haired Sakamaki stopped directly in front of me before inching his face closer. Those beautiful eyes of his stared into my own with no emotion swirling behind them. "You know, you would make a nice doll." He suddenly said.
My stomach dropped at those words. Kanato has showed me his collection multiple times and always murmured something under his breath about how he wanted me for his doll collection, but I never took it seriously. Maybe this is the time in which he finally keeps his word and makes his dream a reality...
"Ne Teddy?" He asked the small stuffed animal without taking his eyes away from my own. "Should I turn her into a doll?" A small sigh escaped his lips as he finally looked down to the bear. "No? I guess you're right..."
"What did Teddy say..?" I asked at nothing above a whisper as Kanato inched his face closer to my own.
The smirk that danced across his lips made my heart flutter as he got close enough for his warm breath to fan over my lips with every bit of air he exhaled. "He said that I should keep you for myself." Kanato murmured. "That you're different and shouldn't be turned into a doll, but rather, something better."
I didn't have a chance to ask him what he meant before he smashed his lips harshly against my own. His hands danced across my stomach after dropping Teddy to the floor before settling on my hips, pulling me closer to him as my arms unconsciously wrapped around his neck in ecstasy. His fangs sunk deeply into my bottom lip and I almost nearly shrieked at the intense pain as he moaned into the now bloodied kiss.
The second he pulled back while keeping my body close to his, I could feel my head spinning from a mixture of the slight blood loss and also the pleasure in having just been kissed by the vampire I've fallen for.
Kanato's smirk shifted into a smile as he never broke eye contact with me. "You shall be turned into my bride whether you like it or not ___, you're mine."
