June 24th
"My mother couldn't believe it when I told her I married you." Lisa laughs.
I raise an eyebrow. "Oh, really? You finally told her?" I smirk.
Lisa playfully hits my arm. "Oh, shut up." She smiles.
"She thought I was joking with her and that I couldn't be serious. Just how your mother said it, I guess." She says.
I smile, "So, when exactly did you call your mother? I mean, we've been married for a month now." I say, pushing a few buttons on the audio recorder.
"I finally told her this morning. You were feeding all the kids. I snuck up to our room and called her." She says.
I smirk, "Well, thanks for the help..." I mumble.
Lisa tilts her head. "Michael, I help feed the children with you every day." She says.
I stick my tongue out at her.
Lisa smiles, "So, what are you recording today?" She asks.
I glance at her. "My favorite song." I say.
Lisa furrows her eyebrows. "Well..." She leans closer to me.
"What's your favorite song?" She asks.
I raise both of my eyebrows. "You must not have been paying attention to me the other night." I say.
"Michael, I was half asleep when we talked. I'm sorry I'm not wide awake, like you, at two in the morning." Lisa harshly says.
I frown. "I know you're not." I softly say.
"I just kind of thought you would at least listen." I say.
Lisa frowns, "I do listen, baby." Her arms wrap over me.
I feel Lisa's hands slowly rub my arms.
"I get so tired after a long day of being with all of our children." She chuckles.
"I know we have Debbie, but you've been in the studio so much lately. It's been a little difficult, Michael. We have four little children. I don't expect Adjo to help out all the time."
Lisa sighs.
"I am sorry though. Will you please tell me what it is?" She asks.
I wrap my arms around Lisa. "Smile." I say.
Lisa looks up at me, smiling. "Smile?" She asks.
"Really?" She says.
I grin, "Yeah! By Charlie Chaplin!" I excitingly says.
She grins, letting go of me. "Well, I can't wait to hear it." She says.
I smirk, "Don't you go distractin' me now..." I lick my lips, walking towards my microphone.
Lisa winks at me. "Is it that easy?" She says.
"Mmm..." I hum, putting my headphones on.
"You know what button to press, right?" I say through the microphone.
Lisa grins, "Yeah, baby! I've got you." She says, pressing a button.
I can hear the symphony begin to play. It rings through my ears.
I shut my eyes. I begin to snap my fingers, moving my body to the slow rhythm. I can feel the music hit my blood. I can feel the music hit my heart. Oh, what joy this song brings to me. This song opens my eyes. This song makes me so happy. It's so bitter sweet but it explains everything to me. It's exactly how I feel.
