(I made this character yesterday, what do you guys think?)
(Veronica's POV)
"Veronica!!" The young master yelled. I looked up from my current work and made my way to his location.
When I arrived at his study, it was a complete mess. There were books on the floor with pages ripped out, broken dishes, chairs flipped over, and tea spilled all over the floor.
"Your highness, are you alright? What happened?" I asked, not really giving a damn.
"I spilt tea on my favorite pair of shorts!" He paced around the room and stomped his feet.
"It is alright your highness. I will remove the stain." I said as sweetly as I could manage, given the circumstances.
He slammed his fists down on top of his desk. "The damned stain will never come out!"
On the outside I was calm, but on the inside I was chocking the damn brat.
"I assure you, it will your highness."
He rolled his eyes and charged at me. He shoved me against the wall and wrapped his hands around my throat.
"Are you calling me an idiot Veronica!" I smirked, not phased in the least.
"Of course not, your highness. Now, if you'll let me go I have a mess to attend to."
He rolled his eyes. He pulled his hand back and was about to strike me, but I caught it.
"You may treat Claude like that, but I am not under contract. I was merely won under a game of chess. You may treat Hannah like that, but I will not accept it. I have my dignity."
I pushed his hand away and began picking up the mess. The brat stood there speechless. For once in his life, he had nothing to say.
When I was finished I returned to my work in the kitchen, washing dishes and putting them away.
"Do you need assistance my dear?" A dark, velvety voice said.
I turned my head and saw the handsome butler standing in the doorway.
"No, I'm almost done. But thank you."
He nodded and walked out, but I stopped him. "Actually, can I speak with you for a moment?"
He nodded his head and walked back in the room from the doorway."What did you mean yesterday? Before the young master walked in?"
He sat down at the table. "As you know much like humans, demons have soul mates as well. You can tell who your true mate is by their scent. When I caught your scent, it smelt like me, like home. It smelt as if I have known you my whole existence. I know we have known each other for quite sometime, but I never truly knew you were a demon, or my true mate."
I was taken back by his words. "So we're soul mates?"
He nodded. "I believe so."
He stood from his chair and made his way towards me and grabbed my hands.
"And I am a very lucky demon to have such a unique creature to call my mate. Your beauty out shines anyone I have ever seen, and your personality and intelligence is quite rare."
I lowered my head and blushed. I knew there was something about his scent.
He pulled my chin up and stares into my red eyes.
"There is no need to be bashful love."
I slowly nodded. "What are we going to do about the master? He does not like this at all."
He softly caressed my face. "My dear, I assure you I will not let anyone come between us. Not even the young master. No one will stand between our love."
I blushed again and placed my hand on his. "Y-you, you love me?"
He smiled. "I have for quite some time now my dear."
"I love you as well Claude."
He leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on my lips...
I shot straight out of bed. "W-what? It was a d-dream?" I rubbed my eyes threw back the covers.
"It can't be, it was so realistic." I swung my legs over the bed and stood up.
I walked into the bathroom and gazed at my reflection in the mirror. I looked like a mess. My hair was all over the place and my mascara was smeared.
I need to talk to Claude about this, but how will I bring it up? I'll deal with it once I look decent.
I brushed my teeth and hair and washed my face. There, that's a little better.
I walked out of the washroom and made my way over to the wardrobe. I pulled out one of the many unfaltering maids uniforms and slipped it on.
As if on queue, I heard a knock at the door. "Come in."
The door slowly opened and revealed the handsome butler.
"Miss Shawn, I need your help with the young masters breakfast."
I closer to him and nodded. I guess this time is as good as any.
"Claude, we've known each other for quite sometime now. If there was anything you were hiding from me, you would tell me correct?"
He nodded. "Yes, as a demon I have to tell the truth."
"Is there anything you have to tell me?"
He lowered his head and looked back up. "I do not believe so my lady. If anything comes up, I will inform you."
I raised a brow. "Earlier in the kitchen, what did you mean by my queen?"
He smirked. "I was fooling around with you Veronica, it's quite comical when you are flustered."
Well that wasn't the answer I was expecting, but oh well. I still think he is hiding something.
"Alright, thank you Claude. Now, let's get to the kitchen before his highness throw as a tantrum."
He bowed on one knee. He nodded and whispered. "Yes, my queen."
I turned around and raised a brow. "Did you say something Claude?"
He slowly stood back up. "Nothing at all, my lady."
