SORRY GUYS! THIS CHAPTER ISN'T SUPER EXCITING BUT IT IS CRUCIAL FOR THE STORYLINE.

I hope you enjoy!

I was running. As fast as I could. The once joyfully brightened sky was ominous with smoke. Tall light pilers, ones that were once homes, were exploding and falling all around me. Bodies laid everywhere. Friends and family, too wounded to get away. Some had been crushed, by the chunks of flaming rock, that were flying across the sky, or even by their own houses. I had no time to mourn, though tears flew down my face anyways. I was smaller. Too young to be on my own yet I was. My foot kicked the side of a body and I fell to the ground. I looked up to see a chunk of rock come at me. Everything went black. Death had claimed another soul. Me.

I woke up with a gasp. A few tears streamed down my face and my hands clenched my blankets. I already knew how the situation ended. The world would have imploded on itself leaving a few rocks in its place. No light would ever escape from it again. At least that is what the Doctor told me what happened to the Natiolux people and their planet.

I had been traveling with the Doctor for a few months now. It was hard to keep track of the time while traveling in the TARDIS. One day you could be in 15th century China and the next day visiting an Alien planet three-thousand years in the future. I made a habit of checking a calendar that I made a few days after I had settled in.

I rolled out of my bed and threw my legs over the side. Silk pants flowed around my ankles. A silk buttoned down shirt went with it. The TARDIS's wardrobe kept me well stocked with every item of clothing I needed. I slipped on a floor length bathrobe and sneaked out of my spacious room. It was early. I knew only because the Doctor wasn't up and banging on the consol, making whatever repairs or changes to the TARDIS.

I walked down the hall, letting my hand trail over wall. Soon enough two large doors greeted me at the end of the hallway.

"Can I come in please?" I asked quietly. If anyone would have heard me I would be labeled as insane. The thing is though, I learned early on that the TARDIS wasn't just a time traveling blue box but it was as living as I was. The doors opened to the room and I walked into a living library. It was old and nobody had clearly been in it for centuries. I walked into the library.

"Thank you, girl" I spoke quietly. This time I was curious to learn about the Natiolux people. I walked around, trying to find anything that would tell me about them. After about ten minutes of looking, I sat down at one of the tables. A book was opened in front of me. I checked the cover:

"Fables and Tales of Space". I decided to take a look. I flipped through the pages and scanned over them.

Six words stood out: The Girl who Couldn't have Existed. That name seemed to follow me everywhere. Ever since the Haphe had called me that. I flipped the book a few pages back, to the beginning of the chapter and began to read.

"This fable is noted almost everywhere, with variations. They all consist of the same basic storyline. At the end of the Time War(see page 67) a small child was seen glowing "like a star". Upon walking up to the child, the being would feel heat. If the being touched the child, they would recieve very bad burns. She was described as being very deceiving. She looked like hope and happiness and innocence (as described by some) but was extremely dangerous. Anywhere she went, death by fire was not far away. However, after the Earth year 1998 there were no more accounts of the child.

Some scholars believed that the girl was the sole survivor of the Natiolux people; their planet was destroyed in the Time War. "

That couldn't be me. I wasn't an alien, let alone a Natiolux. Granted 1998 was the year that the Doctor had found me. But still there was no chance!

I stood up sharply. The chair made a scraping noise against the wooden floor but I kept walking. Out the library, down to the main control room. I walked around the console.

"Interface" I called out. The TARDIS greeted me with an image of my father. I don't remember what happened to him but I know he didn't mean to abandon me. The image was barely recognizable. The TARDIS took the image from my own mind; I barely remembered what he looked like.

"Explain the Natiolux people" I stated clearly

"The Natiolux people were a civilization of light and heat" the Interface started, "The Natiolux are cousins of Time Lords. Just like Time Lords, the Natiolux people became the way they were by continuos exposure to the untempered schism. However, the Natiolux took the light from the schism rather than time control. They are capable of regeneration just like their counterparts, with one exception. Natioluxi can not regenerate before the age of 21. During their 21st year of life the Young adults glow brighter then any other time and are warmer, as if they have a fever. When threatened the beings would glow. Their skin would increasingly become more and more warm until they burst into flames all together. Their eyes glow in the dark on demand. " The interface shut down. I sat down and looked at one of the calendars I had posted. November 16th was today's date. I never figured out my real birthdate. I remember being 9 years old when the Doctor led me to America. I would be turning 21 this year.

I heard footsteps coming down the hallway. Soon enough the Doctor popped out with his usual smile.

"Good morning!" he said, "You're up early"

"Wanted to get a head start on the day" I said trying to concentrate on the conversation. I stood up from the seat and started to walk to the kitchen for breakfast. Unfortunately the Doctor felt my worry. He put his hand on my shoulder and turned me to face him. He had a confused look on his face. His hand wandered to my forehead.

"Are you okay?" he asked me, "You feel very warm"
