Calm, Dark Corner

My light is too bright,
My eyes hurt at the sight.
Everything is too loud,
Or maybe I'm just too sad.

My insides are bogged down,
And my head pounds.
There is no reprieve,
For the words that haunt me.

Intentional or not,
My trust has been shot.
My heart hurts with words I can't say,
And my head hurts with words I don't want to think.

I just want a calm, dark corner,
To loose myself in.
Is that too much to ask,
Or have I crossed an invisible line.
