The next day in english I'm staring at everything I've written so far. Trying to get it to make sense. Needless to say, this paper was going nowhere. I sigh and look around the room at what others are doing. Most are asking each others opinions so I decide to try that. I go up to one of my classmates, Darren, who I know has several siblings and ask his opinion. He thinks about it for a minute, "Well, I have an older and younger brother. My older brother is someone I can look up to and model my life after. He's also someone I can learn from so I can try not to make the same mistakes as him. My younger brother, well, you'd be surprised at what you can learn from younger brothers. He's taught me to hold on to your childhood as long as possible. They both have taught me that your siblings are your superheros, they swoop in and save you, help you along and without them you wouldn't get any where." I scribble this down, "Thank you so much." He smiles at me, "My pleasure."
After English I head out into the hall and run into Jake. "We've got to stop doing this." He says, laughing as he grabs my shoulders to keep me from falling. I laugh too, "Agreed, it's not much fun." His hand slides down my arm to my hand, sending chills all down my arm. He laces his fingers with mine and we start off down the hall. He walks me to my next class, dropping my hand when we get there. "See you at lunch?" He asks, I nod, "Yup, see you then." He leans down and kisses my cheek, "Have fun with Miller." He says with a laugh before turning and walking down the hall. I watch him go, wishing more than anything that he didn't have to.
I plop down in the seat next to Jake and sigh loudly, laying my head down on the table. "Rough morning?" Jake asks, laughing a little. I nod without looking up, "Math is going to be the death of me." I groan, sitting up and pulling out nmy lunch. Jake laughs, "I know, I was you last semester. Miller's class is brutal." Jordan sets her tray down next to me, "Okay, what's wrong?" she asks, I smile a little, she knows me so well. "Miller's calss is going to be the death of me. He gave us five pages of math for homework tonight." Jordan pats might hand, laughing, "Poor baby." We all laugh and then Jordan launches into a story about her date with Ryan a couple nights ago." I lock eyes with Jake and he smiles at me, I smile back, my bad mood gone just by being with the two of them.
As I made my way down to the pracitce field for cross country practice my phone beeped. I pulled it out, there was a text from my mom. Need you to come pick me up. Car broke down, Vannah won't answer her phone. I sighed and texted her back, Be right there, got to get the keys. Text me the address. I hurried down to the field and explained what was going on to my coach before hurrying up to the gym to get the keys from Savannah. When I walked in the cheerleaders were practicing a complicated hip-hop like routine. Savannah was in the front row, a huge smile plastered on her face, a carry over from when she used to dance. At dance competitions you always had to smile. When they finished she immediately turned around and began to critique the routine.
"Tianna, your arm movements were sloppy, clean it up before the pep rally or else.... Jessica, what part of smile the whole time do you not understand? We have to exude confidence and sass, so smile even if it kills you. Remember, we are above them. And, oh my gosh Abby, if you can't get it together you're going to be cut from this team. You've screwed up the choreography every single time we've run it. Come on lets run it again, from the top." She gets into position at the front as I step into her view. I'm honestly a bit suprised about her outburst, I didn't think she was a bitch to her cheerleaders but apparently she was. "What are you doing here?" she sneers as I walk over. "I need the keys." She raises her eyebrows, "Um, no." I sigh, "I don't have time for your game Savannah, just give me the flipping keys." She shakes her head, folding her arms across her chest, "Not until I hear a valid excuse." Her clique moves to stand behind her and I roll my eyes. "Fine, mom's car broke down and I have to go pick her up, so if you would give me the keys." Her eyes narrow and she turns around, saying something to her friends before walking towards me. "Follow me," She says, before turning back to face the cheerleaders, "Run it again, Chelsea's taking my spot for now, I want it perfect by the time I get back." With that she struts out of the gym, me following in her wake.

A/N: What did you think about all of that? Do you think Savannah's just going to give her the keys?
The video is of the cheer/dance the cheerleaders are working on and the picture is of Jake who is played by Cody Christian.
Let me know how you like it so far. I think it's starting to pick up a little but of course my opinion is a bit biased :) So let me know what you think!
