~Chapter 2~
I sat down next to Bella in our room. Hermione was also sitting with us.
"What was it you wouldn't tell me on the train?" I asked.
"Well..." she paused, messing with a strand of her hair. "It's Harry. He's really worrying me."
"How?" Bella asked.
"He's just been acting strange ever since Sirius died," she said. "He's been going around angry at the world."
"Is that all?" I asked.
"Yes, well, actually, there's one more thing," she said.
"Yes?"
"Harry thinks Malfoy is a Death Eater," she said. I stared at her in disbelief.
"You're kidding me," I said. "Harry thinks that good for nothing Malfoy is a Death Eater? What would You-Know-Who even do with him?" I felt something stir around inside me when I said he name. I shifted on the bed a little, trying to make it go away.
"I have no idea," Hermione replied. "He's like obsessed. He won't stop and it's starting to get annoying."
"That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard," Bella snorted. "That piece of scum? A Death Eater? Ha!"
"He's going to get himself murdered if he doesn't stop assuming things," I said.
"That's what I'm afraid of," Hermione admitted.
"Dammit!" Bella murmured, sucking her thumb. "I poked myself with this thing!" She hands me a large shard of glass. "It was in your bed," she said.
"What the bloody hell," I said.
"That's strange, Aly," she said. "Is it yours?"
"No," I said, turning it over. There was a note on the back. I turned it back over so no one would see. "I've never seen anything like it."
"Neither have I," Bella said. "Do you suppose someone meant for you to lay on it and stab yourself?" I could see the horror in her eyes.
"I don't see why," I admitted. "I'm not of much use to anyone."
"Are you kidding?" Bella asked. "You're one of Harry Potter's friends."
"If you're going to say anything about You-Know-Who, shut it," I said. "I'm the last person in the world he would want to he to."
"She's got a point, Bella," Hermione says. "She doesn't really know that much about Harry. Voldemort just wants Harry."
Bella flinched at the name, but I was starting to get used to hearing it. I wasn't saying it yet, though.
"He also wants people that will lead him to Harry," Bella stated.
"Come on," I said. "Hogwarts has to be the safest place in the world. We have Dumbledore!"
"That's true," Bella said.
"I guess," Hermione sighed. "I'm going to bed."
"Night, 'Mione," I say as she leaves the room.
A few minutes later I hear giggling from the hallway, and then two girls appear in the doorway.
I realized they must be the other two people Bella and I were sharing the room with.
"I don't mean to be rude," one if the girls said, "but who are you?" She had a thick American accent.
"I'm Aly," I said.
"And I'm Bella," Bella added. The girl with the American accent had dark brown hair and brown eyes. The other girl had white blonde hair and shiny blue eyes.
