Nelly

I pull the cover over CiCi's sleeping body, moving her curls out of her face. I swear, those curls will be the death of me. But not if Nate gets to me first. The sound of the front door opening and closing, automatically prepares me for what is to come. I walk downstairs, standing on the last step, while Nate stays by the door.

"Speak of the devil, and he shall appear." I look him up and down, an angered expression glued to his face.

"Are you fucking kidding me, Chanelle?" Nate snaps. "You could've got us caught! You could've-" I cut him off.

"First of all: I don't know who you trying to get loud with, but it sure ain't me. Our child is trying to sleep, peacefully might I add, in her room. So bring your volume down. Now." I glare. "Second off: what do you mean I could have got us caught? I wasn't the first one hoing around with those two blonde bimbos."

"Really, Chanelle? So because, two fans came over to my table, you decided to flirt with Sammy? My best friend?" Nate scoffs.

"Excuse you, but as much as I remember, Sammy was flirting with me, since his best friend, doesn't dare to tell him, that he has a girlfriend." I snap. "And besides, if they were fans, why were they all over you, instead being all over the guys and you?" I walk up to him.

Nate stays silent, rolling his eyes. Because he knows damn well, I'm right.

"Whatever." Nate rolls his eyes again,  brushing past me into the kitchen.

"Excuse you?" I follow him into the kitchen. "Who do you think you are, walking away from me, when I'm talking to you?"

"Chanelle, I love you, but shut the fuck up." Nate snaps, turning around to face me. "I don't give a fuck, if Sammy was flirting with you, and not the other way around. You could've easily told him that you had boyfriend. Or maybe even say, oh I don't know, that you have a child!"

"Listen here, Nathan Montgomery Maloley, who in the fucking hell gave you the right, to even say that?" I shout back, not even worrying about CiCi right at this exact moment. "You could've easily told the boys you had a girlfriend! You could've told the girls at the restaurant that, in private! You could've said, oh I don't know- that you have a child!"

"Well, Chanelle Monique Williams, maybe I didn't want to! Maybe I didn't want to say I have a girlfriend, or a child! Maybe I didn't I want to have a child! Maybe I never wanted you or a child in my life!" Nate snaps.

All I can do is shake my head, and walk away from him. I walk upstairs to our shared room, heading into the closet. Of course, Nate has to follow me. I pack some of my clothes in a duffel bag from the closet, Nate's red face from frustration and anger turning into a sickly pale of confusion and sadness.

"Nelly, you know I didn't mean any of that." Nate says, trying to stop me from packing. "You know that I love you and CiCi. Babe, please don't leave." Nate begs.

I ignore his pleas, and finish packing my bag, grabbing another one for CiCi. I head to CiCi's room, Nate hot on my tracks. I quietly make my way into the room, packing some of her clothes and toys, not without fighting Nate over her clothes and toys: him trying to put it away, me trying to pack. Once I finally get stuff packed for CiCi, I take her away from Nate.

"Chanelle, please." Nate holds tears in eyes, but I pay no mind to it.

"You should've thought before spoke, Nathan." With that I make my way downstairs, and into my car.

As I finish buckling CiCi into her car seat, Nate kisses her forehead.

"I love you, my little cupcake." Nate sniffles, trying to hold the tears in, but failing miserably.

I get in the car, putting my sunglasses on, while Nate leans in on my side.

"Take care of our child, okay?" Nate puts a small smile on his face, but I don't even face him.

"Move away from the car, Nathan." I speak with no emotion whatsoever.

Nate nods, moving back from the car. I drive out of the driveway, thinking of where to go. I can't go to a friend's house, because I have to come up with an excuse as to why, I'm not staying at my house. I pull over near the park, I came to earlier today, finally cracking.

Tears stream down my face, my heart breaking slowly. That's one of the most intense fights, Nate and I have ever had. And we don't usually fight. And when we do, we're at our lowest times after the fight. Usually we walk around the house, like neither one of us is there, and then after sometime apologize and cuddle with CiCi.

But this time is different. This time, we yelled at each other, used each other's full name. Hell, I'm surprised CiCi didn't wake up crying and screaming.

Heavy sleeper, I guess. Just like her daddy.

I slightly giggle at my inner thought, it fading just as quick as it came. I pick up my phone from one of the cup holders, going into my contacts.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Chanelle."

"Hey, what's up?"

"Can I come over?"
