Emerald's POV
All the windows in the church-like room shattered into a million pieces of multicolored glass, and the . I gasped and screams were heard throughout the room. Damon stood up and pushed me behind him protectively as men jumped in through those windows, too many men to count.
"Get to the car." He growled to me as tons of screams and yells filled the room. I saw Nate and Catarina making a run for it down the aisle as well as the officiator, but unfortunately he was too late for one of the attackers took a silver knife out of his pocket and buried it in the mans back. He fell to the floor as the attacked took the knife out with a cruel smile.
"You can't deal with all these people!" I fought back, seeing all too many attackers for Damon to even try fighting.
He gave me a look of utter anger. "Emerald get the fuck out of here, I can handle myself." He ordered in his alpha tone but I stayed put. He growled again but started fighting one of the attackers that came up to him.
The attacker stared at me. "Found her!" He shouted to all his buddies and they all ran in my direction. Damon ducked every move the attacker was trying to make until he snapped the guys neck, killing him instantly. He took out the silver knife the man was trying to cut him with and threw it with deadly accuracy at one of the other attackers, and it landed square in his forehead. I gasped at all the death I had just witnessed.
Damon quickly turned his attention back to me as he picked me up and ran using his werewolf speed to the closest person we could sort of trust, which just so happened to be Nate who was running towards the front door with Catarina. Damon deposited me next to Nate and glared at me.
"Take her with you, she isn't staying here." He hissed to Nate.
Nate glanced at me when Damon ran back inside the church room to finish off the attackers at the speed of light. I made a move to go after him but Nate grabbed my wrist in a grip I couldn't escape.
"You'll die in there." He said as we rushed towards the front doors, Nate dragging me away from Damon. I felt tears fill my eyes and worry took over my thoughts.
"Damon- he's going to die in there, there was too many men! I have to go back." I screamed at him.
"The hunters will kill you." Nate said as we ran out the front doors. We ran halfway to the middle of the front yard until more hunters ran at us, more than there was at the ceremony.
Catarina was crying, full on sobbing at this point, but I didn't blame her. Half her pack would be dead tomorrow and we both knew it.
Nate froze when the hunters started running at us from all sides as did every other person who was running out the front door.
"Get the Luna!" The hunters shouted, running at me. Catarina clutched onto Nate as he took his hand off my wrist. We looked around quickly but there was nowhere to go.
Nate glanced around one more time but by then the hunters had formed a circle, each one not twenty feet away from us.
"Here, take her and spare us!" Nate shouted to them as he pushed me forward with so much force I fell onto my knees. I gaped at him as he ran away and quickly scurried to my feet but by then the hunters were only ten feet away from me. I screamed in anguish at the coward that just left me and Catarina alone in a circle of hunters.
