Chapter 15: Family Matters

                                    

                                          
Meredith's POV
                          
Youngguk and I are just relaxing outside in the backyard. We decided on barbecuing today. He barbecued some beef and it smells delicious!
                          
"I'm going to get some plates so that we can eat outside." I say to him with a smile. "Okay." Youngguk says and smiles back at me. I walk into the house and start looking for plates. Just when I'm about to grab some plates, I hear the doorbell ring. 
                          
I quickly grab the plates before walking towards the door.
                          
I open the door only to be greeted by Youngnam, Youngguk's older brother and Natasha, his older sister. 
                          
"Annyeonghaseyo!" I say to the both of them and bow. "Annyeonghaseyo!" They say back and bow. "Is Youngguk here?" Natasha asks me. "Ne, he's in the backyard." I say to them and Youngnam smiles. 
                          
"Follow me." I say to them. They follow me to the door that leads to the backyard.
                          
"Ah, what took you so long?" Youngguk asks me with a smile. "Well, we have two people that just dropped by to visit." I tell him. Then, Natasha and Youngnam step through the door. 
                          
"Hyung! Noona!" Youngguk shouts and runs towards them, hugging them. "It's nice to see you too, dongsaeng." Youngnam says to me. I smile at Youngguk and then he clears his throat. 
                          
"Noona, hyung...this is my wife, Meredith. She's from New York so her Korean is still a bit shaky." Youngguk says to Youngnam and Natasha. Natasha then starts to smile at me.
                          
"I knew you looked familiar!" Natasha says to me. 
                          
"Mianhae for not introducing myself, my name is Youngnam and I'm Youngguk's older twin brother." Youngnam says to me with a smile. "Mianhae for not introducing myself either, my name is Natasha and I'm Youngnam and Youngguk's older sister." She says to me with a smile. 
                          
"Oh, I'm also at fault since I didn't introduce myself either." I tell them and Youngnam chuckles. "It's okay." He says and I smile, glad that I didn't upset them. 
                          
"Are you hungry?" Youngguk asks. "Now you ask us that?!" Youngnam and Natasha shout at their younger brother. 
                          
~~Time Skip~~
                          
We just finished eating out lunch. I go over to the couch and sit next to Youngguk. 
                          
"So, how long have you two been married now?" Natasha asks us. "We've been married for 4 1/2 months now." Youngguk replies.
                          
"How are your members treating your wife?" Youngnam asks. "They like her. Daehyun and Zelo went shopping with her recently." Youngguk tells her. "Oh, jeongmal? What did you get?" Natasha asks me. 
                          
"I bought some clothes and I also bought a Silver Rolex watch for Youngguk." I say and Youngguk lifts up his wrist to show her and Youngnam his watch. "Wahh, that's nice of you! Did you get her anything?" Youngnam asks. "Anyi, but I did make her dinner and New York Cheesecake for her." Youngguk replies.
                          
"Aww, my little brother is so sweet!" Natasha says with a smile. "Gomayo, noona!" Youngguk says while blushing. 
                          
"Excuse me, but how old are you?" Natasha asks me. "I turned 19 in August." I reply.
                          
"Did you do anything for your birthday?" Youngnam asks me. "Well, a week before my birthday Youngguk and I went to the movie theater." I answer. "Oh, that must've been nice. Was my little brother a gentleman or an awkward guy?" Youngnam asks me and Youngguk blushes again. 
                          
"He was a gentleman. He paid for the seats, drinks and the food. I thought that was nice of him." I say to Youngnam. "Ahh, as expected of him but he's actually really shy. He's not really good at talking to girls." Natasha tells me. 
                          
"We were a bit awkward at first but dice we spent a lot of time together, we got closer." Youngguk confesses. "I'm glad that you guys are comfortable with each other then and I can tell that Youngguk really enjoys being around you." Natasha says to me. 
                          
"Jinja? How?" I ask, shocked and she just laughs. "He's never blushed like that before. I suppose that means he really likes you." Natasha confesses. 
                          
"Well, we have to go now actually. We didn't want to bug you and Youngguk too much. We'll be leaving now." 
Youngnam says as he starts to get up to leave. Youngguk and I see them out the door and watch them drive off. 
                          
"Did you like meeting my noona and hyung?" Youngguk asks me. "Ne, they seem really nice. I like your noona's tattoos, too." I tell him and he just laughs. Hr pulls me towards his side.
                          
"Want to go start a fire to roast marshmallows?" Youngguk asks me. "Yes!" I shout and he laughs as we start prepping everything.

I may not be doing author's notes or saying much for them for the next couple of chapters. 
I can't really think of anything to say right now. 😅
