3. The One With The Day After Yesterday

                                    

                                          
                        Chapter Three
                          
Ross leaned up and groaned, rubbing his head. His hangover was severe. He drank way too much alcohol yesterday, never again. 
                          
He looks over and sees nobody next to him. He had a weird dream where some girl came and asked for another chance. 
                          
Everything was honestly blurry but he found himself sighing of relief from that idea. He also remembered Gunther telling him something about Rachel and Rachel had to tell him something exciting. 
                          
What was it again? Crap. This is why you shouldn't drink. Ross shakes his head and rubs his eyes, trying to fully wake himself. 
                          
Just then he hears the water running in the bathroom and he looks over at his opened bedroom door. He lifts up the blanket and sees his boxers on. 
                          
Maybe Rachel stood the night? He smiles, now slowly remembering some stuff from yesterday night. Did Rachel do something different to her hair? It looked shorter and blonder? 
                          
Just then the girl walks out the bathroom and walks into Ross' room. "Hey, do you have an extra towel?" 
                          
Ross holds the blankets close to him and freaks out. "Kate!?" 
                          
"Um, yeah it's me" she laughs confused. 
                          
"OH MY GOD" he screams, continuing to freak out. "NO NO NO" 
                          
"No what!? Ross you're scaring me"
                          
"OH MY GOD, KATE DID WE?" Ross gulps and prayed it didn't happen. 
                          
"What get back together and have sex? Yes"
                          
"OH NO NO NOO NO" Ross freaks out and his headache was 10x worse than when he first woke up. 
                          
"OH no what!?"
                          
"Kate.. I'm dating Rachel! Oh my god" he rubs his temples and closes his eyes. "OH my god, I can't believe this" 
                          
"Wait your best friend Rachel!? Is that why you kept saying her name when I was talking to you?"
                          
"YES!!" Ross didn't even know what to do at this point. He was beyond freaked out. Oh god, what was he gonna tell Rachel? What was she gonna say? Well of course she's gonna flip out. 
                          
Should he tell her? Of course he should. It's the only option. 
                          
"So are you gonna end it with her?"
                          
"What? What? No. No!" Ross shakes his head. "I love Rachel.. And we're having a child together. Oh my god.. We're having a child together" 
                          
Now Ross was starting to remember, that's what Gunther and Rachel told him. Oh no, this was much worser now. 
                          
"Excuse me?" Kate asked in disbelief. "So you take advantage of me and you have a girlfriend and a kid on the way? Disgusting!" 
                          
"Me taking advantage of you!? I was the one that could barely walk yesterday!"
                          
Kate gasps and slaps him in the face. "How dare you blame this on me! You're the one that agreed on getting back together and I'm not the one with a kid and boyfriend!" and with that, Kate stormed out. 
                          
Usually Ross would freak out about possibly losing their 'friendship' but he had way more important things to think about. Like, how he's gonna tell Rachel or if he should tell her.

"Rach?" Ross runs in the coffeehouse and sees Chandler and Joey who looked at Ross. He walks over to them and they look at him like they were disappointed. "Have you guys seen Rach?" 
                          
"No but even if we did, she wouldn't want to see you"
                          
Ross' heart sank. "Did she tell you why?" 
                          
"I think you should find out yourself" Chandler stands up and pats Ross' shoulder. 
                          
Ross breathes out, his nerves kicking in. He runs out the coffeehouse and runs to Monica's apartment. 
                          
He was definitely out of breath but that didn't stop him from climbing the stairs. He barges into Monica's apartment and sees Rachel's sitting on the couch. 
                          
He walks over and she had her arms crossed, her eyes were red like she had been crying all day. Ross felt super guilty at this point. He bends down to be eye level with her. 
                          
"Rach.." He tries to place a hand on her leg but she moves it. 
                          
"Ross don't!" Rachel demanded, her voice cracking like she was about to breakdown. 
                          
It hurt Ross so much, how could he do this to Rachel?
                          
"Rachel, baby.."
                          
"Don't you dare baby me!" she yelled, now looking at him. A mixture of hurt and anger written all over her face. "How could you do this to me?" 
                          
"I know, and I'm so sorry for it, I really am. I didn't mean it"
                          
"Do you know how bad it hurt? To walk in your house and see you laying there with her?" she gives in and a few tears escape her eyes. 
                          
Ross wanted so badly to wipe them and whisper everything was a mistake and he's sorry but who is he kidding? It's gonna take way more than that. "And if I could take it all back, I would. In a heartbeat" 
                          
She shakes her head. "After everything we been through, after telling you I was having a baby... You and go do this" 
                          
"I know this is not an excuse but I was drunk. I was stupid and I wasn't thinking clearly"
                          
"Ross.." she starts and chokes on her own words. She couldn't find the right words to put it. "I'm sorry but.. I can't.. We can't. - this can't happen" 
                          
It was Ross' turn to feel his eyes get watery. "Rach, please no. Don't say that, you don't mean it" 
                          
"How can you say that? Do you really expect me to just jump into your arms and forgive you?"
                          
"No" Ross now sits down next to her. "But-" 
                          
"There's no buts Ross"
                          
"You can't give up so easily. Please don't run away from all this. Please" Ross was pleading now, he grabs her hands and starts kissing them. "Please, fight for us. You have to" he starts kissing her neck, her jawline, her cheek and half her lips until she pulls away and stands up angry. 
                          
"No Ross! You can't just kiss me and expect everything to be okay! It doesn't work like that."
                          
"Rachel, I'm so sorry, I feel so terrible I'm so sorry, I love you so much and you know that, I'm not the type to cheat, that's not me"
                          
Rachel starts pacing and places her palms on her forehead. "I think you should go.."
                          
Ross looked at her like a lost puppy, his voice cracking. "What?" 
                          
"You should go now.."
                          
Ross stands up now too and walks over to her. "No, no, there's got to be a way we can work past this please Rach.." He grabs her hands and gives them a small squeeze, tears coming out his eyes, as well as hers. "I can't imagine my life without you, please" he goes on his knees and hugs her. 
                          
Rachel was in tears now. "No.. No I can't.. I can't look at you the same anymore.. I used to think of you as somebody who would never ever hurt me......ever" 
                          
"Please Rach.." Ross pleads and hugs her waist a little tighter. 
                          
"No matter what you say or what you do.. It's just changed everything Ross.."
                          
Ross now stands up and backs away, sniffing. He shakes his head. "This.. This can't be it" 
                          
Rachel stares at him, frowning. "....Then how come it is?"

Yes I made the fighting scene very much like the one that happened in friends cause that scene is one of the most intense/brilliant scenes and I remember watching it, crying myself lol
                          
But aw, poor Rachel and Ross. :((( let's hope things will look up for them!!
