Jordyn POV:

                          
Today is my first day in the touring production of Disney's Newsies! I'm so excited! I was chosen to play the role of Sniper, the only newsie who is played by a girl!  I'm set to see the show tonight then I start rehearsals tomorrow! I found my seat and looked through the program. I hadn't done any research on the cast yet, I wanted this to be the first time I saw them. The overture music started and I put my program away. The set was amazing. The show started and before I knew it was intermission! I pulled out my phone, maybe I should look up some of these guys. I started with Dan DeLuca, who played Jack Kelly. His voice was amazing. I could not believe I would be joining this cast in a couple of days! The show started again and then it was over. Wow, it was amazing. I kept my eyes on who I would be playing, watching what she did. I picked up my stuff and went to the stage door and backstage. I didn't think anybody would know me, but right when I walked in one person noticed me.
                          
"Hey you are Jordyn right" One guy said.
                          
"Yeah, hi nice to meet you! You guys were amazing, I was honestly blown away!" I responded.
                          
"Thank you so much! Well I was put in charge of showing you around so let me go out real quick and meet the fans then I will come back and give you a tour!" He said and left. I couldn't figure out who he was, I should've done more research at intermission, I didn't make it past Dan. Another guy came up to me who I recognized as Zachary Sayle, he played Crutchie.
                          
"Hi Jordyn, nice to meet you! I'm Zachary!" he said.
                          
"Hi nice to meet you, you have an amazing voice!" I didn't know what else to say, I'm such an awkward person. The guy who was giving me a tour came back in.
                          
"Ok are you ready for your VIP tour?" He smiled. He was actually really cute, wow. "Oh and by the way, I'm Ben." Ben, thats right. Ben Cook, he played Race.
                          
"Ohhh you are the guy who danced the whole time with a cigar in his mouth. Impressive!" I said.
                          
"Thanks! So, let's get this tour started!" He laughed. He showed me the dressing rooms, the stage, the amazing set, and how everything works. The tour ended with us sitting on top of the set.
                          
"Wow, this view is amazing. I never realized how many seats were in this theatre!" I said.
                          
"Yeah, its great. So, are you excited to be in the show?" He asked.

                          
"Excited is an understatement! I can't wait! You all seem so sweet!" 
                          
"Yeah, we are one big family. Everybody loves each other, and I am excited to be the first to welcome you to this family!" He pulled out his phone. "Here put your number in, that way we can keep in touch when you aren't here. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to text me." I put my number in and gave him back his phone.
                          
"So how old are you?" I asked.
                          
"Seventeen, how about you?" He replied.
                          
"Seventeen, how about that!" Just then a voice interrupted us.
                          
"Ben, you ready to go?" the voice asked.
                          
"Yeah! On my way!" He yelled back. "That's Josh, he's amazing! Ok well I have to go back to my hotel room so I'm gonna let you explore on your own! See you tomorrow!" And he climbed down leaving me sitting alone. I looked out at all the seats. In a couple of days, I will be up here and all those seats will be filled with people, watching me. My life was changing right before my eyes. I sat there in a daydream when I was dragged back to reality by my text message alert. I looked at the text.
                          
Ben: Had fun tonight, see you at rehearsal tomorrow! Don't worry, I will help you if you get confused!
                          
I smiled at my phone. Ben was so sweet, and cute, and dreamy, and- wait. He said everyone is a family, which means he will be like my brother. I need to stop thinking like this. I texted back.
                          
Jordyn: Haha, I had fun too! See you at rehearsal!
                          
I climbed down from the set, I can't wait to meet everyone else. I went back to my hotel to see that Josh, Ben, Zachary, Dan, Stephanie, Sky and Nico all followed me on instagram, that was everyone I met tonight plus Josh. Wow, I already feel like part of the family. My phone buzzed and there was another number I didn't recognize

                          
Josh: Hey! It's Josh! Ben gave me your number! Sorry I didnt get to meet you today! Can't wait to meet you! Welcome to our Newsie Family!
                          
This is amazing, I can't wait for the rest of this amazing experience with these amazing people!
