Third Person's POV:

After the weekend, not much had changed at the university. Wonwoo and Mingyu often ran into each other in the corridors, and as always, Mingyu would act cocky, his confidence an obvious ploy to get closer to Wonwoo. Wonwoo, however, would feign indifference, pretending the Alpha’s antics didn’t faze him. But in truth, his heart would race uncontrollably every time their paths crossed.

It wasn’t just Wonwoo who noticed Mingyu’s persistent advances; his friends had picked up on it too. The Alpha wasn’t exactly subtle about his interest.

“Ahem. So, Wonwoo, don’t you have anything to tell us?” Hoshi asked with a mischievous grin, his eyes twinkling with curiosity.

“A-About what?” Wonwoo replied, attempting to sound oblivious, though his slight stutter betrayed him.

“Oh, come on! Don’t play dumb,” Jun chimed in, his tone impatient. “What’s going on between you and Kim Mingyu? You think we haven’t noticed how his gaze practically burns holes into you every time he looks your way? Or the way he’s always making those cocky remarks?”

“Seriously, there’s nothing going on,” Wonwoo insisted, his voice firmer this time. “He’s just Jungkook’s friend, so he talks to me from time to time. That’s it!” His attempt at nonchalance was betrayed by the faint blush creeping up his neck, and he knew it. Deep down, he also knew Mingyu’s intentions were far from casual.

“I don’t believe you!” Hoshi declared, crossing his arms and pouting dramatically.

“Oh, really?” Wonwoo shot back, a spark of defiance in his tone. “Then what’s going on between you and—”

Before he could finish his sentence, Hoshi’s hand clamped over his mouth, his eyes wide with panic. “Nothing! Absolutely nothing!”

“What? What? What’s happening? Tell me too!” Jun shouted, chasing after them, his confusion fueling his determination to uncover the truth.

After a few days:

“Hello, Hyung! You can go ahead, don’t wait for me. I’ve got practice, and it’ll get late,” Jungkook said over the phone, his tone casual but hurried.

“Alright then, I’ll go ahead,” Wonwoo replied, ending the call and slipping his phone into his pocket. He sighed softly as he started walking toward the parking lot.

The lot was mostly empty, the dim lights casting long shadows over the scattered cars. Wonwoo’s footsteps echoed faintly in the stillness as he approached his vehicle, his keys in hand. Just as he reached his car and started to unlock it, he noticed something unusual.

A figure was reflected in the car window, standing a few feet behind him. Startled, Wonwoo froze, his grip on the keys tightening. Slowly, he turned around, his heart beginning to race.

The man standing before him smirked, his presence exuding a predatory confidence. Wonwoo stared at him for a moment, trying to place where he’d seen him before. Then it clicked.

“Oh, that’s right! He’s the Alpha who tried to punch me on my first day… Mingyu had saved me,” Wonwoo realized, a chill running down his spine.

Before he could react further, the Alpha lunged at him, shoving him harshly against the side of his car. The cold metal bit into Wonwoo’s back, and the jarring impact left him momentarily stunned.

“Well, well, look who’s all alone tonight,” the Alpha sneered, his tone dripping with mockery. “Where’s your Alpha now, pretty boy?”
