From then on, it felt like Cassian's entire world shattered. The person who helped her after her village attack is gone? The person who helped her through her troubles? Her best friend? Her brother figure? This made Cassian sick. The hell would he have went? Did he leave? So many questions, so many unanswered. It was like an overpopulated area.
Had she not done enough to repay her own friend what he gave her? Time to vent, protection... saving him...
Cassian began thinking it was her fault. Tristan, who seemed to have read her expression and mind (even though she doesn't read minds), knew she was berating herself for Raviel's disappearance. "Hey, hey, you're fine. This isn't your fault! It was that wretched king's decision, not ours. We don't know what happened, so have some hope. Please. I know him too, but not as well as you. Don't think about the worst that is ahead."
Cassian sighed. "I don't like thinking about what's ahead until I'm ahead."
Tristan froze. "Wait, what did you just say? How—"
"Anyway," Cassian continued. "I'll hope for the best for Ravi. He's my best friend, and the person I love PLATONICALLY."
Tristan chuckled. "Hope it's not romantically."
"SHUT UP!"
The two turned and began walking towards the large metropolis they called their capital and home. As soon as they got there, Cassian began making the sprint of her life towards the castle. Not even Tristan could catch up to her. Cassian burst inside the castle and began running downstairs into the dungeon. Ravi probably was here... right? Could he?
Cassian kept running and running; she knew this place by heart. Unfortunately. Well, since she knew the castle, and has been down here plenty of times, she knew the whole structure itself. Cassian ran through the castle for who knows how long. No sign of Raviel. Where could he be?!
Cassian ran out of the dungeon, back upstairs and out of the castle to find her missing friend. Whilst running around the whole castle, she would scream her friend's name as if he would hear her. But no one could hear it. It was like the world had gone deaf. Cassian ran outside of the castle, since there no sign of Raviel inside. Is he at home?
Cassian ran to Raviel's house to look for him. The door was strangely unlocked, when Raviel was always the type of person to lock every inch of any area. If you leave even a window unlocked, Raviel will close it for you. Raviel truly cares about another person's safety.
As Cassian kept running, she found something on the floor.
His favorite tunic.
Cassian wanted to cry. Raviel LOVED tunics. They were his favorite type of clothing. Raviel wore other things, but tunics were Raviel's thing. Cassian burst outside and ran around the town. She ran around practically the whole town before she got exhausted. Ravi was nowhere to be found.
Which could mean one thing.
Either Raviel was exiled or executed.
