Adira hugged him.
Adira felt his body stiffen. The tip of his ears were turning into a beautiful shade of pink. She couldn't see Pravin like this as she was hugging him above his shoulders with her eyes closed. He was glad. They haven't been this close in their entire one month of marriage. It was only some casual conversations and friendly side hugs.
They were in the same position for quite a few seconds.
Adira did not receive his response. "I-I'm sorry.. uh-- i-i..j-just..", she stuttered assuming Pravin was uncomfortable. She was utterly disappointed with herself and was about to step back when Pravin wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her back.
Tight. Very tight.
It was Pravin's time to feel her body stiffen. He then very slowly snuggled his face on her neck.
"Stay", he mumbled against her neck ; his lips touching her skin lightly. She felt ticklish.
"holy sh*t. He hugged me. His arms are around my waist. Like in those books........I shouldn't have hugged him above the shoulders. I'm gonna die. God please. But this feels so good than I feel while reading those romantic scenes. Ente Guruvaayoorappaa!..... Stop thinking like this Aadi! He is going to leave me...ah! I wanna cry so bad.....But, it's only for four days. He'll be back soon. But I won't be able to see him at the evening.........ADIRA RAJAN NARAYANAN! stop being so desperate, woman! Act mature!" -

Adira's thoughts were out of control at that time. But she somehow managed to keep herself sane. They both cherished their very first hug.
Both of them had their faces turn scarlet. They stayed like this for quite few minutes and then slowly detached themselves.
"Bye Aadi! Take care of yourself. I'll call you once I reach there." Pravin assured her with a warm smile. Adira smiled in return. "Take care of yourself too.", saying she just waved at him. And he left.
She already started missing him but she realised one thing.
Adira loved him.
