Season 1, Episode 25-26
The ultimate challenge,
The witches' downfall

P.O.V. 3rd Person:

What they thought would happen in a matter of minutes turned out to be in hours.

Everyone at Alfea was getting impatient. It was nerve wrecking to not know when the next and hopefully final attack would be.

The Winx were currently in their apartment, surrounding Mirta the pumpkin at the table.

"Alfea has suffered serious damage. The Trix are getting more and more aggressive. And I miss Bloom." Stella said on the balcony and turned to her friends around the table behind her. "How will it all end? I hope she and Sky are alright."

Seeing the tears build up in her best friend's eyes, Alyssa couldn't help but rub her shoulder in comfort. "Everything's going to be okay. And I'm sure that our friends are fine no matter where they are right now."

The blonde girl gave her a thankful smile as they both turned to the sad fairy of Nature.

The expression of the pumpkin mirrored Flora's disappointment. It had been quite some time that Mirta was turned into a pumpkin by the Trix and not a day went by in which Flora didn't try to get Mortal back to her human form.

Flora sighed. She truly didn't know what to do.

"Flora, you're not giving up on Mirta, are you?"

The brunette didn't answer to Musa's question but one thing changed. Her facial expression turned into one of determination.

"There's got to be a way to break this spell." Tecna didn't just said it, but she was completely sure of it.

A statement was made which Flora took in serious.

Not thinking any longer, Flora stepped up and held both of her hands at the sides of the pumpkin.

And suddenly, a bright light formed around the pumpkin, making it almost impossible for the others to look at it any longer.

Flora didn't speak. She concentrated on it harder than anyine could have imagine.

Then, it happened. The light was gone, leaving small, magical particles on the table.

Gaps and shocking looks were exchanged as they looked to the side to see a dark, red haired girl in her human standing with a wide smile.

"Mirta!" Flora wasted no time in hugging her friend. She laughed in happiness. "We did it! Oh, Mirta!"

The other girls smiled at them. Alyssa was proud of her friend. She managed to break the spell of the witches.

"That was the key, Flora! You see?" Mirta and Flora hugged again. "You had to let your energy flow through both of your hands!"

A soft smile washed over her faces. "How could I have ever thought that the Trix' magic could be stronger than my desire to help you?"

She had believed in herself.

Stella walked over to the balcony and looked underneath.

Alyssa followed after her in confusion but that feeling changed as soon as she realised what caught her best friend's attention.
