PART 2 OF FANfics!

It had been weeks since Knife and Fan's last encounter, and Fan was growing increasingly agitated. Throughout that time, he had sent Knife countless messages—far too many, even by obsessive standards. Knife wasn't even pretending to ignore them; he was opening the messages and then purposefully leaving them unanswered. Why? The uncertainty was driving Fan crazy. He hated the thought that he might have done something wrong. After all, their last encounter had been amazing—so amazing that Fan couldn't stop replaying it in his head.
His frustration grew with each passing day. How dare Knife promise to text him the next time he wanted to hang out, only to go silent and leave Fan guessing what went wrong? It was infuriating! Fan felt disrespected and was losing his mind over the situation.
Late one evening in the hotel lobby, Fan sat by himself, glued to his phone. He debated whether to send yet another message or finally confront Knife about the silence. The empty lobby was quiet, save for the sound of Paper dusting nearby. Fan's huffing and sighing were anything but subtle, and it was beginning to grate on Paper's nerves.
"Alright, Fan, clearly something is bothering you," Paper snapped, turning to him with an exasperated expression. "Why don't you just spit it out instead of sitting there making all those noises?"
Fan let out another loud huff, as though he'd been waiting for someone to ask. He looked up at Paper, eager to unload his frustrations.
"It's Knife!" Fan exclaimed, frowning deeply. "I've been messaging him for weeks, and he just keeps ignoring me! It's not even like he doesn't see them—he opens them and then doesn't reply! And when I see him around the hotel, he just walks the other way like he's avoiding me on purpose! What's his deal?"
Paper paused, tapping his feather duster against his palm thoughtfully. "Hmm. Well, when OJ annoys me, I sometimes ignore his messages to make him realize I'm mad at him. But then again, we share a room—and a bed—so by the time we're back in the room at night, he's apologetic and makes it up to me. Maybe you should just confront Knife directly?"
Fan frowned, considering the advice. Confrontation felt like a last resort, but what other choice did he have?
"You're right, Paper!" Fan declared, standing up with renewed determination. "If Knife thinks he can ghost me, he's got another thing coming! I'm not letting this slide!"
With a huff of indignation, Fan marched toward the stairs, ready to demand answers from Knife and finally put an end to the maddening silence.
Fan marched up the stairs toward Knife's room, each step fueled by his growing frustration. Reaching the door, he knocked sharply, his hand almost aching from the force. Crossing his arms and tapping his foot impatiently, he waited, determined to confront Knife face-to-face.
Inside, Knife was lounging, music playing in his earbuds, and enjoying the peace of his own space. He'd seen the flood of messages Fan sent earlier—tonight alone was enough to make him mute his notifications. He wasn't expecting visitors, though. Maybe Pickle had swung by to hang out? Stretching as he got out of bed, Knife ambled over to the door. But when he swung it open, he was greeted not by Pickle, but by Fan—fuming and ready to explode. Knife could tell instantly this was about the ignored messages, and he had to fight the urge to roll his eyes.
