(An angry woman rides her bicycle down the country road to the farm, this is Miss Brenda she has a basket on the back of her bicycle. Then she leaned her bicycle against the fence while Uncle Watchful is holding a paint brush.)
Miss Brenda: Mr. Bear.
Uncle Watchful: Howdy, Miss Brenda.
Miss Brenda: (Comes into the Bears' yard) I want to see you and your wife right away about Wish.
Uncle Watchful: Wish? Well, what has Wish done?
Miss Gale: What's she done? I'm all but lame from the bite on my leg!
Uncle Watchful: Oh! You mean she bit you?
Miss Brenda: No, her dog!
Uncle Watchful: Oh, she bit her dog, eh? (Shuts the fence door)
Miss Brenda: (Exasperated) No!
(The scene switches to the living room where Miss Brenda lectures the Gales about Toto. While Wish holds Snoopy protectively.)
Miss Brenda: (Angrily) That dog's a menace to the community. I'm taking him to the sheriff to make sure he's destroyed.
Wish: Destroyed? Snoopy? Oh, you can't! You mustn't! Auntie Grams! Uncle Watchful! You won't let her will you?
Uncle Watchful: Oh course we won't. (To Auntie Grams) Uh, will we Grams?
Wish: (Goes to Auntie Grams) Please, Aunt Grams! Snoopy didn't mean to. He didn't know he was doing anything wrong. I'm the one that ought to be punished. I let him go in her garden. You can send me to bed without supper.
Miss Brenda: If you don't hand over the dog, I'll bring a damage suit that'll l take your whole farm. There's a law protecting folks against dogs that bite.
Auntie Grams: How would it be if she keeps him tied up? He's really gentle, with gentle people that is.
Miss Brenda: Well, that's for the sheriff to decide. (Pulls out the sheriff's order) Here's his order, so allow me to him. Unless you wanna go against the law.
Uncle Watchful: (Takes the order) Hm. Yes.
Auntie Grams: Uh, we can't go against the law, Wish. I'm afraid poor Toto will have to go.
Miss Brenda: Now you're seeing reason.
Wish: No.
Miss Brenda: (Pulls out the basket) Here's what I'm taking him in, so he can't attack me again.
Wish: (Upset, protesting) No, No! I won't let you take him! You go away, you...! Oh, I'll bite you myself!
Auntie Grams: Wish!
Wish: You wicked old witch! Uncle Watchful, Auntie Grams, don't let her take Snoopy.
Miss Brenda: (Trying to grab Snoopy) I've got an order! Let me have him!
Wish: Please stop her!
Auntie Grams: Put him in the basket, Watchful.
Miss Gulch: The idea!
Wish: (Begging) Don't, Uncle Watchful. (Uncle Watchful puts Snoopy in the basket while he whimpers.) (On the verge of tears) Oh, Snoopy!
(Wish runs to her bedroom sobbing. Auntie Grams sympathetically watches her go, then glares at Miss Brenda.)
Auntie Grams: (Furiously) Brenda No-Heart! Just because you own half the county doesn't mean you have the power to run the rest of us! For 23 years, I've been dying to tell you what I thought of you. And now, well, being a Care Bear, I can't say it!
(Auntie Grams goes to Wish's room, Uncle Watchful sits down on the chair and Miss Brenda stood there shocked. Uncle Watchful sits down. Miss Brenda glares and he shrugs.)
