* Palesa*

Before I could close my eyes to drift off to dreamland, Kimora knocked on my bedroom door and I unwillingly opened it for her. She was crying, I was concerned for her so I opened the door for her. She entered and sat on my bed with her head lowered.

I sat next to her and patted her back, "What happened? Do I need to use my pistol on somebody?" I murmured.

She shook her head and wiped her tears, "You can not shoot my father, Pali."

I drowned in my fears, "What has he done to you?"

All sorts of obscure events flooded my head, the king wasn't like that. But considering he had yelled at Lia, my conscience begged to differ.

"I think he's doing something behind my mom's back." She sighed and firmly grabbed her hair in frustration.

I held her hand, patiently waiting for her to elucidate on her theory.

"I heard him yelling at someone in the morning, she kept crying and it was definitely not Mama."

I cleared my throat and laughed awkwardly, "I heard that too."

I couldn't decide whether I should be frank with her or not, she seemed to be in need of my help and I groaned.

She pouted, "I knew my ears went playing with me."

I but my lower lip and nodded, "Well you know I love being frank so... The lady might have been Lia."

She let go of my hand and glared at me, I went silent for a moment till she stood up and lowered her head.

"I saw the way he looked at her, it's as if she did something he despised. But he claimed that she is just a stranger."

She sat back down and I focused intently on her as she grabbed my hand back and put it on her chest.

"You feel that, I'm afraid of what is happening Pali."

"Well, it's not in your hands so maybe acceptance is the only way."

She looked up at me, "But what exactly am I accepting?"

I also couldn't fathom what we were specifically looking for.

"I don't know, I was even thinking of I interrogating Lia."

She held my hand firmly and nodded with a smile on her face, "Yes, that's what we need to do."

"Okay, but go sleep." I ordered.

"No, I can't even dare to dream till I fathom whatever is happening under my nose as the princess."

I thought of Leo, his coronation seemed to be closer than ever, with all the chaos happening he might have a breakdown and abdicate. I had to ensure that his happiness came first and that he was not harmed nor affected by his father's actions.

I put on my gown and me and Kimora were headed for the library.
