The queen of Auradon crossed her arms as she watched over her wife's sleeping peacefully in their shared bed. She leaned against the door, ignoring the sound of the sea crashing against one another. Instead, she made her ears tone into the sound of their heartbeat, the steady rhythm bringing peace to her wild mind. She smiled as she watched Mal cuddle closer together, Evie. Brooke didn't mean to be creepy like Edward Cullen, but she just couldn't sleep. It was around eight in the morning now anyway, so she didn't try to get back to sleep.
"You know it's creepy to stare?" Brooke winced when she realised Evie was awake.
"Im admiring beauty." Brooke replied.
Evie opened when eye tilting her head to look up at Brooke, her one brown eye shining with love as she looked up at her wife. "Smooth." She told her.
Brooke smiled at her, coming over to sit on the edge of the bed. She placed her hand on Evie's cheek, gently running her thumb over the women's cheek.
Could you blame Brooke for sometimes just wishing to sit there and admire her wife's close up. Sometimes their were moments when Brooke completely forgot her entire train on thought simply because she was stuck in the trace of her wife's.
Perfection was not a word she liked to use lightly.
But she was sure that if she searched the definition of it, Mal Bertha and Evie Grimhilde would appear beneath it. Then, only then would people understand the true meaning of the word.
Evie leaned into her touch. "Are you okay?" She questioned softly, she keept her voice low, trying not to wake Mal up.
Brooke nodded her head. "Yeah, I'm good, promise." She held out her pinki finger for Evie to link hers with.
The blue haired girl nodded. "Good. Now, do you want to talk about your kingdom?"
Brooke looked down, chuckling. "You just know me so well." Brooke didn't want to admit it, but in truth, she was thinking about Auradon, not because she was missing it but because she was wishing to change something.
She wanted to make a change to a law that had been set years ago when her mother and father were married. Brooke was an only child, so the law never affected her, but if her and her wives were planning to have more than one child, then she needed to take a dive into this law.
"I wish... I wish to change a law." Brooke told her, keeping her voice low when she noticed Mal shift in her sleep. "One that could affect our future family, one that could perhaps help our firstborn."
Evie leaned back in bed, her hand resting on her stomach, as the other played with Mal's hair. "Then change it." She told her, Evie's brown eyes stared up into Brooke's brown ones. "If you want to change or rewrite the law, then do so, put a petition forth to the council, and well all agree if it benefits our family."
