Caged Wolves 2

5 1 1

I'm incredibly sorry that this one took forever. I actually had Ao3 curse happen to me. Im not joking, first things first. Thanksgiving was great but I had like a mental breakdown because too many people. Otherwise it was good. Than my cousin freaking died, I'm not joking so couldn't write due to anxiety and so much more. And now I'm actually coughing as I finished this up yesterday and today. Meanwhile now I have to go to a collage and Showing the same day.

Honestly life is crazy, and I'm kinda laughing through it. Had my tea, had my Jay angst, etc. We good now, and I hope next chapter doesn't take me as long as this one did. Seriously.

Chapter warnings: Stupidly long, gore and injury, and some extra stuff I'm likely forgetting. Hopefully I remember those later.

“Ugh.” The teen stretched his aching arms.

*Crack*

“You up, Lloyd?” The boy looked up at a black-haired teen.

“What time is it?”

“7am, Wu wants you at the warehouse at 9, so get up and eat, sleepy head.” Cole smiles and the kid sat up, glancing around as he rubs his eyes.

“Where's Kai?”

“With Nya and Jay I assume, Jay said he was going to pick up paint and a few things to aid in your training.” Zane explains while taking off an apron. Lloyd looks towards Cole.

“Zane, Jay and Nya left after you fell asleep.” Cole's states and Zane lifts his arm.

*Caw!*

“Go find Kai, little friend, I will call you back if we need anything.” The crow hovers and soon is out the window as Cole opens it. Lloyd looks at the scene and leaves the room with an extra pair of clothes bundled in his arms.

“Alright, since everyone else is gone, what are we supposed to do today, Zane?”

“Clean and prepare the shop.”

Cole sighs. “Did Wu say that?”

“He placed very detailed instructions on how to set up the tea shop and not to drink any of the teas Mystake brings today, but to sort magical and non magical teas.”

Cole looks at his brother. “Alright, at least I got you today, let's eat first and then I guess, greet Mystake?”

Zane smiles.”I believe we met her before, if my memory is correct she tripped Lloyd when we confronted him in Jamamkai village.”

“The old lady?”

“Yes, Cole, though I do sense more from her is to come.”

Cole's brow lifts. “Are you going to elaborate?”

“Not at all, but perhaps we should just worry about doing our chores, make Wu jubilant, though Kai clearly isn't here to help.”

Cole nods. “Alright, but I want to know what you sense at some point.”

“You will, it's a sense Cole, not even I am quite aware what it tells.”

Lloyd looks at the two and then heads right back out of the room.

His hair swayed with the seabreeze as he breathed in deeply, making his chest ache slightly as it inflated. His eyes flash with the sunlight as it beamed into the differently colored eyes.
