TDI HIGH!

So sorry for the lateness of day 11 but here it iss!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was the first day of senior year at Wawanakwa High, and Courtney was determined that nothing—nothing—was going to get in the way of her perfect year. She was on the student council, had already signed up for AP courses, and was ready to maintain her spot as the "perfect" student. There was only one problem: Heather and Bridgette were both back for their final year too.
Courtney's eyes narrowed as she spotted Heather in the hallway, looking as poised and smug as ever. Heather's reputation as the queen bee had been well-earned in past years, but Courtney wasn't going to let her get the upper hand this time. Not this year.
"Hey, Courtney," Heather said smoothly, her sharp eyes studying Courtney's every move. "You know, I'm really impressed. You've managed to keep your head above water for all these years. I didn't think you'd last this long."
Courtney forced a smile. "I'm surprised you showed up at all, Heather. After all the drama last year, I thought you'd be too embarrassed to return."
"Oh please, I'm not the one who needs to win popularity contests," Heather retorted, flipping her hair over her shoulder with a dismissive flick. "I have other, more important things to focus on."
Courtney wanted to snap back but bit her tongue, taking a deep breath to maintain her composure. It's senior year. You're better than this, she reminded herself.
Just then, a voice broke through the tension between them.
"Hey, hey, break it up, ladies!" Bridgette appeared at Courtney's side, her surfboard tucked under one arm. "It's the first day, no need to start throwing shade already. Let's just enjoy the fact that we survived another year, right?"
Courtney's eyes softened as she turned to Bridgette, grateful for the interruption. Bridgette was different. Easygoing, laid-back, and always ready to mediate between the fiery personalities of Courtney and Heather. She wasn't about to let their past grudges get in the way of her peace of mind.
"Bridgette's right," Courtney said, turning back to Heather. "It's senior year. Let's make it count... even if we don't always get along."
Heather smirked. "Fine. But just so you know, Courtney, I'm not done yet. I have some big plans for this year, and I'm not going to let anyone stand in my way."
Bridgette rolled her eyes. "Heather, please. We all know your idea of 'plans' involves controlling everyone else. Can't you just... chill for once?"
Heather narrowed her eyes at Bridgette, but before she could respond, the bell rang, signaling the start of first period. Without another word, Heather strutted off, leaving the two girls standing there.
Bridgette sighed. "Well, that was fun."
Courtney couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, fun isn't exactly the word I'd use. But we'll make it through. Just like we always do."
As the girls walked toward their first class of the day, Courtney felt the familiar sense of competition and rivalry simmering throughout the halls. Familliar faces greeted her, ushering in a facade of kindness and acceptance.
Heather was relentless, and Bridgette was the calm in the storm. But somehow, the three of them never had anything bad to say about eachother. Courtney's nerdiness, Heather's style and Bridgette's calm demeanour balanced out their friendship, and created the perfect trio.
