A few months later, exam season rolled around again. This time, Ishan was adamant that Shubman should study and write his exams honestly.

During one of their study sessions at Ishan's apartment, Ishan looked at Shubman and said firmly, "Shubman, no shortcuts this time. You've got to prove to yourself that you can do it on your own."

Shubman nodded, determination shining in his eyes. "I promise, Ishu. No copying this time. I'll make you proud."

Over the weeks leading up to the exams, Shubman studied diligently. Shubman even started attending extra classes and doing his homework without anyone prompting him.

When the exams began, Shubman walked into the examination hall with confidence. He focused on his papers, answering everything to the best of his ability.

Finally, the results were announced. Shubman didn't top the class this time, but he had scored really well, placing in the top ten-a feat that left his teachers impressed.

When Ishan saw his results, he beamed with pride and happiness. "I told you, you could do it, Shubman! This is amazing!"

Shubman grinned, scratching the back of his neck. "It's all thanks to you, Ishu. You believed in me when I didn't believe in myself."

"That's because I know how smart you are," Ishan replied, his voice soft.

As they walked out of the school building, Shubman smirked, stopping Ishan mid-step. "So, Ishu," he began, his voice playful but firm. "You remember our challenge, right? You said you'd do anything I ask if I performed well in the exams."

Ishan, still riding the high of Shubman's honest achievement, nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, Shubman! You've earned it. I'm ready for whatever you want."

Shubman raised an eyebrow, surprised at Ishan's unguarded response. He tilted his head, studying Ishan's innocent face. "You're sure? No going back on this, Ishu," he said, his tone suddenly more serious, though a mischievous glint shone in his eyes.

Ishan hesitated for a brief moment, wondering if Shubman was testing him. But he straightened up and nodded, a mix of determination and trust in his expression. "I said I'll do it, and I mean it. Whatever you want, Shubman."

Shubman's smirk widened as he leaned closer, lowering his voice so only Ishan could hear. "Good. Just don't regret it later, sir."

Ishan blinked at the cryptic tone but decided not to dwell on it. Shubman's happiness and hard work were all that mattered to him at that moment. Whatever Shubman had in mind, Ishan was ready-or so he thought.........

Ishan sat on the couch, gently stroking Oggy's soft fur as the cat purred in his lap. His heart raced every time he thought about Shubman's mysterious surprise. The thought of what Shubman might have planned made him both excited and a little nervous.

"He's sweet...but he's also...well...Shubman," Ishan muttered to himself, his cheeks tinting pink as his mind wandered to Shubman's cheeky smirks and bold comments.

Oggy meowed softly, tilting his head as if sensing Ishan's inner turmoil. Ishan chuckled and rubbed Oggy's ears. "You don't understand, Oggy. He can be so unpredictable. What if it's something-" He cut himself off, his blush deepening.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Ishan's heart leaped in his chest. "That must be him," Ishan whispered, gently placing Oggy on the couch and smoothing his shirt nervously.

Walking to the door, he took a deep breath before opening it. There stood Shubman, leaning casually against the doorframe with a playful smirk on his face wearing formal clothes. He was holding a medium-sized box wrapped neatly with a ribbon.
